Hey guys.

I'm going on a cruise to Cozumel, Mexico tomorrow. My wife and I bought a cheap go-phone so that our bill wouldn't be eaten away by international costs and it would sort of place a limit on our calling.

However, we're still taking our phones in case of emergency and maybe for a text or two back home.

My question is, does anyone know if there is an extra charge on international text messaging?

Thanks in advance.

Oh, and we use AT&T phone service.

I've texted from Canada to the US at no extra charge, with Rogers. It probably varies by country and provider though.

You can never be too sure, so give your provider a quick call or stop by one of the stores.

I received a text in China (quite unexpectedly I might add), apparently it cost me $0.02. Not sure how much it would have been to reply. I have Verizon and live in the US, btw. Just call your cell phone company and ask.
