My crappy company's email is on Outlook 2000 on a Windows 2000 OS and Outlook appears to be crapping out on me. Can I download Eudora or another email client and transfer the PST file to the new client easily?
Yes, depending on if they have the appropriate email servers set up.
If they're using exchange, you maybe SOL. However, Most companies will set up POP/IMAP access if they also have exchange so just go ahead and try it out. I recommend Thunderbird.
EDIT:
Didn't catch the PST thing, you may or may not be able to easily move between the two if you want to keep your old emails. I think Thunderbird has a PST Import option though.
bowen on
not a doctor, not a lawyer, examples I use may not be fully researched so don't take out of context plz, don't @ me
Well, its 2008 and we're still using Outlook 2000 as a main email hub. Yeah, good times! Apparently we went over the 2Gb PST file limit and that what fucked things up. Found ways to deal with it so this thread can be locked.
