Hello folks.
I recently got a playstation 3(60Gigabyte) and so far it has been working flawlessly.
All of my games run perfectly fine, PS1, 2, and 3, but there is one problem with a few games, mainly GTA and a Turok demo so far, in that the picture will flicker with mostly black squares. It looks like the Twilight realm in Zelda: TP.
GTA was the first game, I noticed to have this flickering squares problem. It
only occurs in the sky during the day, like so.
At night, things will be alot better, but if you look near lighted areas like lamposts you can still a a few squares. Everything else about the game is fine, no freezing or anything, as long as you don't look in the sky, you wouldn't see a problem.
I thought it was just GTA so I exchanged it for a new copy, but it looks the same. I suppose it needs an update? but I'm not sure, googling doesn't turn up any similar problems. To make sure it was GTA and not my PS3 or TV, I bought Uncharted to try. It looks fine, and I also tried it and GTA on a regular non HD TV with component cables and it looks the same.
Today though, I encountered this problem with my first downloaded demo, the new Turok and once I got out of the caves and into the jungle, on one of the first climbable vines I came across, I noticed the same flickering squares all over the vines. No where else, just the vines.
I don't know what the problem is, but it's not affecting anything at all, it just flickers. GTA hasn't froze or anything like everyone is saying, it just flickers. Uncharted, so far looks fine. And the first Demo out of all of the ones I tried, Turok, had the same issue.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is there a solution outside of paying $150 to sony for a fix, because this is of course outside of the warranty time.
Additional Info:
This is my TV and I use a Belkin HDMI cable on it, and for the component cables, I use the official sony ones.

Try calling customer service? I'm in an 80-man PS3 clan and I haven't heard of anything like that before.
But yeah, looks like a faulty CPU in my limited experience.

I'd see about contacting Sony.
