With a resigned sigh Durandal steps back, raising his free hand and calling upon the Force the air before him ripples as he unleashes a torrent of solid force. The thugs standing before him are lifted off their feet and launched through the air as they feel an impact like a giant fist. Durandal sadly mutters, “I did not want to resort to violence, but you leave us little recourse.â€
Durandal let himself go as the blaster bolts zinged around him... the Force rippled outwards as he told himself more than them that there was 'little recourse'.
The Duro with the lightsaber burn swore, threw his pistol to the ground, and took off running down the corridor.
The thugs hammered with the Force groaned as they got up to their feet, shaking off the daze, firing haphazard shots at Durandal as the thug with the pipe approached behind and made a couple clumsy swings. One of the blaster bolts Durandal only managed to beat back at the last second.

Adi leapt across the ground, landing lightly on her toes. Glancing at the Rodian, clearly injured from Durandal's strike, she shrugged. "No reason to kill you. Besides, you might tell us something." The beam of energy struck the thug square in the chest, and he slumped to the ground unconscious.
Move action: Two squares north to support Durandal
Swift action: Set blaster to Stun
Standard Action: Attack on Thug Leader, 1d20+9=11, Damage 2d6+3= 11
Force Point spent, 1d6=5
Half of that rounded down is 5 damage, just enough to knock him out. I am a lucky girl tonight.
Thanks for reminding me of my Skirmisher bonus, Arcy.
Seeing the thug leader go down to his own weapon Durandal pauses for a moment’s hope that this may be the end of this senseless violence. Not willing to leave it to chance he swiftly closes with the nearest upright thug. Prepared to defend himself if necessary he does not actually strike, instead he calmly tells the thugs, “your leader is down, end this foolishness.â€
Actions Move: Quickly make his way to the nearest upright thug. Standard: Fight Defensively, forgoing attacks of opportunity for a total of +10 to Reflex Defense, in addition to the elusive target penalty of -10 on ranged attackers while he is in melee. Free: Tell the thugs that they should stop all this.
The Duros thugs still present looked at their unconscious leader, and then at the two jedi... and in turn they slowly set their pistols down on the floor, raising their hands in surrender.
"Your skills with a lightsaber are formidable Master Dal," said the Togruta as the two green blades crackled against eachother. Both Jedi locked eyes as they pushed backwards, dropping into their basic stances.
"I fear my skills pale in comparison to yours, Master Tey. I've never met blades with a true Makashi specialist before."
Without a moment to acknowledge the compliment, the Togruta was off like a bolt of lightning, and the human Jedi found himself on the defensive. The blades hummed and whirred as their wielders moved like the wind, and only occasionally the frenzy was punctuated by a snapping hiss of contact.
Once more their blades met and the two Jedi stood in silence broken only by the crackle of their lightsabers. Without another word, both clicked their blades off, replacing them on their belts. Nikos was the first to bow.
"It was an honor Master Tey."
"I think you have learned your lessons well also, Master Dal - even with the inherent disadvantage of your Ataru against my Makashi, I could not land a hit. The honor was mine."
Raana Tey then bowed before turning to leave.
"Wait, Master Tey. I would like to know something."
"Ask."
Nikos paused. He had one question in mind, but he shelved it. "Have you seen my pupils?"
"I believe they went into the city."
Nikos frowned. "Thank you, Master Tey."
Back in the lower levels...
"I hear swoop bikes."
Not a moment later the two Jedi could hear the full whine of oncoming swoop bikes.
Durandal turns to Adi, "perhaps we should leave, before this escalates and life is lost." Glancing at the now unarmed thugs a pang of guilt and regret pass through him at having used the Force for harm.
He quickly kickes the blasters out of the way, hoping that will buy them enough time to be out of the line of sight before the thugs can reclaim them.
"Let's go." Assuming Adi agrees with him he will bolt between two buildings, making certain that Adi is with him, and will atempt to get away from both the thugs and the potential reinforcements on swoop bikes.
Durandal and Adi slide their way through some thin corridors, ending up in a large thoroughfare largely devoid of people and full of litter and garbage. Down the lane several swoop bikes are gliding, and Durandal sees them hit a dead end and stop for a moment before turning back, coming in their direction.
You're in a large lane that seems to extend quite aways, possibly turning in a couple directions. Good swoop territory, and you without your bikes. Make a stealth check vs. Perception and I'll make a post after.
Durandal almost grabbed Adi by the collar, ducking into another side alley. They waited as the swoop bikes passed by with a high pitched whine... and the sound soon faded into the distance.
"That was close. Now you see why I thought this was a bad idea?"
Later...
The two apprentices arrived back at the lift leading back to the upper levels just in time to see the doors open and their master step out with a severe frown on his face.
Adi put on her best face, smiling as she casually leaned against the wall. "Greetings, Master Nikos. Welcome to the Undercity... if you can call this a city."
Nikos, frown fading slightly at Adi's jest, nods at his padawans. "Adi. Durandal. I see you've been busy. What have you learned?"
As he waits for a response Nikos tries to keep his amusement from his face. Durandal looked like a child caught with his hand in a jar of sweets. Adi was much more relaxed but there was just a hint of belligerence in her eyes.
Durandal, still looking downcast, blurts out, "Master I don't understand! Why would they hate us so much? What have we done to cause them to lash out? Or is it what we haven't done?"
After his little outburst he tries to calm himself but is still upset over the earlier encounter's need for violence, and his own reaction.
Nikos's frown deepens, "I see. I'm disappointed in you both. Your initiative was commendable, but I wish either of you had exercised the same amount of discretion or restraint."
His eyes soften and he looks at his padawan, "Durandal... Hate is a disease, a monster that seeks to destroy. Those that attacked you did not hate you specifically, they hated what you represented. The serenity and inner strength of the Jedi, no doubt having just come from the Upper Levels was the final straw. Do you see?"
Nikos gestures to the lift behind him, "Come. We'll talk more back at the temple."
