What makes a game good is the graphics - NSF56K

Oh it's such a nice day, I think I'll go out the window! Whoa!
If my computer could actually get it to look like that, I'd probably be a little angry that Valve hasn't released the graphically updated version of HL2 and Ep1 for PC.
iirc it's because the 360 versions got an update during the orange box development, they said they would release a graphical pack for the PC, too.
Other proposed changes by Valve would be retroactively adding achievements to HL2 / Ep 1. Of course, the time when this change is supposed to drop is (adjusted for Valve time) approximately five minutes after the sun dies.
Fuck you people and your nice computers!
Is... is that Loom?
At the time, Skies of Arcadia was visually staggering. Its a shame its so old there are so few decent captures or screenshots to post.
What are you wanting to be a-knowing?
Still:
American McGee's Alice
Dungeons & Dragons Online
Knights of the Old Republic
Trackmania Nations Forever
I guess the correlation is that when a developer pays attention to graphical details he will do the same with gameplay details.
*edit: okay, so all of those look better in motion. :P Anyway.
And a bad game.
OK, turns out it WAS Saga Frontier, but I only looked at Saga Frontier 1 and it was Saga Frontier 2 that I was thinking of. Check this shit out:
I didn't see Majora's Mask mentioned. I really liked the change in art direction from OoT to Majora's Mask. Generic fantasy versus alternate reality being attacked by the moon. Awesome.
But no, it's just not a nice-looking game and never was. It has a horrible art direction >_<
I suppose you should keep in mind this game is almost 20 years old
the backgrounds still look fantastic

P to the A to the R to the A
Parappa's the name, I rap everyday
So good.
World of Illusion was superior, of course, and Mickey Mania.
You know David Jaffe was one of the top men on Mickey Mania.
World of Illusion though was the best co-op game ever made for the better part of two decades.
I'd go and grab some kick-ass high-res screens from the PC version right now, but I don't have the disk with me.
Even more conspicuous in its absence - Yoshi's Island:
This one:
Though the website did take me to the right place, there were a few others on the first few pages with no label, and it seems that while they are mainstream, I'm just too much in a cave.
The clouds... so confusing...
Oh and what about that limbo game? Is it coming out or not?
Yes thank you. I totally agree with this. I never saw the appeal of psychonauts. The fugly art style just kills the game for me.
I never asked for this!
Loco Roco is just so... bouncy.
I bought it on Xbox Originals and gave it a fair shot, but I couldn't get over it. It distracted me so much.
