So, let us say that I were to be doing some light DJing tonight for a smallish gathering. No dancing, just good party atmosphere music. It could range from bumpin' to chill. Does anybody have any recommendations for what I could play?

I'd suggest the newest Roots album, a lot of great tracks on it. 75 Bars is amazing and a half.
Isn't it possible to make playlists such that they sound like a live DJ? I mean, obviously it'd have to be a pre-set list, but I think there's software that lets you blend them together so that it's not just one song after another, right?
I guess what I'm wondering is, is the song selection the only thing that a DJ does that can't be automated yet?

DJing is a whole lot more than blending the end of one song into the beginning of another. For instance, I generally don't introduce songs from the beginning unless it's famous, and a lot of times I tease the most popular songs three or four songs in advance. If you want to hear what a DJ really does, just listen to girltalk: it's basically exaggerated DJing.
Just a playlist. I'm a wannabe, but I have fun doing it.

yeah, that's as much as I could pull off the net. Do you have the other ones? I would be quite shocked if you had Stacy Q. Let me know, and maybe we can arrange a way for you to find them.

Just don't think we'll be making a lot of exceptions like this.
Fantastic. I appreciate this muchly, sir.
I am just amazed by the people who take it

Good choice or shitty
Law isn't about soul. It's about semantics and pedantry.

I want to work somewhere in the area of family law. Do you know how depressing that general area is?
Yes, for people with feelings beyond "bitter" and "cynical" anyway. And by that I mean people who are ill-suited to law.
