Keeping an autograph on plastic?

I recently had my DS autographed by a certain net-celebrity, and the ink is already smudging. Does anyone know how to keep it permanent?

    I don't know how well it would work with a DS, but there are spray-on shelacs for plastics that will preserve ink.
