So it looks like my Paramedic internship is being moved from Portland to Cyprus Creek, Texas (Near Houston)
I need any of you shitlicks near that area to help me out in finding a place to live for about two months maximum, probably 6 weeks. Definitely for me, possibly for two or three of us (though if there is room for only one, screw the others). We only need a short term thing... I don't smoke or have pets, rarely drink and will be working 24 hour shifts. Basically what I need is a bed to crash in and not much else.
PLEASE any help you guys can give would be much appreciated.

You will be living 10 minutes from me.
Can you help me out dude? I need like a good real-estate place or a decent motel that has decent monthly/weekly rates.

Yeah I got nothing dude sorry.
I'm still living with my parents and we have no spare rooms.
I never did move to Portland. I was planning on going on my internship there this July-August, but that was kiboshed as it's gonna take three months to finish it instead of the usual 6 weeks. I have classes to attend next semester to start my PA degree, so it isn't gonna work for me.
And I'm not asking for a place to stay with you guys... I don't know many people here and wouldn't impose on you with someone I just met, anyway. What I need are info on like.. short term places, even a room to rent.
Houston's not a bad place as far as things to do. Depends on what you want to do. There's tons of clubs, museums, bars, a zoo, a shitload of places to eat.
I guess I should concentrate on where the hell I'm going to live before I worry about attractions, but I wanted something to do when I'm on my kelly.
Is there anyone here who can give me a hand? I guess I could go to H&A, but I don't really trust anyone outside of SE++. The rest of PA is a bit dodgy if you ask me.
Actually I just posted something on Craigslist... there's lots of rooms for rent, but not sure how many of them are good for short-term stays. We'll find out soon, I guess.
Yeah dude, you'll be in the north suburb of Houston, which is a big fucking city. Sure, Texas has ranches and farms and all that but Texas is also a pretty large state. Over on our side of town there's like 6 or 7 movie theaters, clubs, bars, tons of restaurants, um my house?
I haven't been outside since I moved up here in 2001. It'll be kind of nice to get to see someplace else. I'm going to be planning on attending PAX this year as well, so that'll be groovy.

So bring some paper bags and you can crash with Daric, Cog.
Just stay out of South Park and Sunnyside (which is pretty much a landfill surrounded by crack dens). Then again, avoid the entire Third Ward of Houston. However, since you're there to be a paramedic, you'll probably end up in the Third Ward anyways.

There's 4 stops within a mile of Cypress Creek High School so I think you're probably safe.
Uhm... everyone who's been sending me messages from Craigslist says there are NO busses in Cypress.
I may need a car or something. Shit.
AHAHAHAHA Public transportation.... Houston..... AHAHAHAHA
Seriously, its pretty difficult to get around Cypress without wheels. The bus system basically goes from the park-and-rides to downtown. It's pretty useless for getting around the suburbs.

He is not new here. I am sure he knows what to expect. Though expecting it does ruin the surprise.
Besides, I'm not exactly rapeable... I'll be all sweaty and tired from working around sick people all day.
