$130 PS2 game?????

SakebombSakebomb Registered User regular
edited May 2008 in Games and Technology
I was browsing Amazon.com for some co-op multiplayer PS2 games and came across this madness!

I remember playing the first Dark Alliance game getting a "meh" reaction out of me.

Anyone know why this four year old PS2 title costs more than my cable bill??

Because it's probably out of print?

It appears to be going for a lot less on eBay.

I sold my marvel vs capcom 2 copy for like $80 on ebay.

I picked it up in a used bin at EB for like $12...entertainment + $68 = fucking profit

I dont see how thats possible. Gamestop/EB have been selling it for like $60-80 for a long time (well over a year or two)

Hahaha, awesome! I got this game a year or two ago, and it was even rare/expensive then. I think I paid like $60, though it had been out for a good long while.

I remember looking around everywhere for it, and being told by Gamestop that I wasn't likely to find it because it was a rare, limited run.

The game is well worth searching for if you have a friend you can play it with. The first BG was fun but limited, only three classes with too much overlap IMO. This one has 5 classes and they're a bit more unique (essentially what happened from Diablo 1 to 2): necromancer, monk, barbarian, cleric, rogue. Lots and lots of abilities, a very fun, Diabloesque two player hack n' slash. Highly recommended.

    $130?

    That's nothing.

Edit: and that's not from a reseller, that's straight from amazon.

Just remember guys, Steel Battalion was $200 at retail when it was brand new. On Amazon it's around $295-$399 and while that's nowhere near $700 it's still pretty damn high.

edit: wait, that's 749 pounds?? Holy fucking shit.

The other best part is that 750 pounds isn't close to $750.00 either.

I paid $60 for the Xbox version quite late in its run. Unfortunately the game sucks compared to the first one, and the first one was not so hot.

Shit like this is ridiculous. I think some publishers purposely limit supplies to bring up the price like this. I am looking at you komani. Square also does it, to cock tease all the jrpg fans.

Why is it so much on Amazon? My guess, it's a front. They're "trading games." And those "games" cases are packed with "cocaine."

Seriously, you can buy this game right now from Ebay for like $20, or get it from Gamestop.com for $50 or $30 depending on the system.

uhhuh, theres one game call "MIGHTY MULAN" is that an Original Game of yours?

One thing I love more than Mulan is.. is ripping off Mulan, and making better Mulan.

It is called the Mighty Mulan! It is much better than normal Mulan buy it.

I can make a listing on amazon to sell a spongebob game for $362. Would you make a thread about that too?

It's a private listing - some guy out of the billions on this planet thinks he can sell it for that much - who cares?

and people stop being stupid and equating list price with sale price.

It's shit like this that makes me hate the fact that video games aren't in libraries.

I know the problem wouldn't be solved at all, but at least some people might be able to play games they otherwise wouldn't be able to.
