Stuck - tried other solutions, no work

I'm stuck in the game and I found a couple of other threads on the same subject, but it didn't help me continue the game.
After I gave the gear from Pelican Bay to Anne she told me to go to Hobo Ally even though I've killed everything there. At the moment I can talk to three NPCs there:

Trash guy - sings a song
Dr. Urine - basically tells me to go away
Meatman - still needs stamped meat

Besides that there's nothing I can do, I've tried finding a place to get my meat stamped, but my friend told me it's inside the Shithole where I can't enter at the moment.

I'm pretty worried that I'm either A) total newbie mode, B) need to start over, C) a combination of the above.

Anyone who went through the same situation as me and can tell me what I'm supposed to do? Thanks for your time!

    This sounds like a bug to me, but I'm having a hard time remembering the triggers.
    You've gone back to your home already, right?

    I think the urinologist should've moved, which triggers the next sequence.

    Yes I returned back to the home and to Hobo Ally with no result.

    Edit:
    Just tried loading an older save and go through the section again - still no succes.

    Did you grab the giant wind up key that was behind the hobos in the panel to the left of the Shithole? You'll need it and the Giant Gear before you can have the next event with the urinologist trigger I think.

    Im having the same problem as well. The thing is I grabbed the windup key well before the trash cans or the gear. I turned in the meat and the trashman is just singning. There was nothing in deperation ally.

    Have you commited Hobocide? Check your quests and tell us which ones aren't completed yet I guess

    I actually did things in this order. Wind up key -> trashcans/shit house -> gear. I just checked my save game, and the shithouse is empty. If I got to ann's room, I can see the windup key, and if I click tycho/gabe Im told to drop off the gear. There is no dialog that allows me to do this :/ The only dialog I get is telling me to go to Pelican Bay, but I cannot do this w/o the ticket. Which I cant get cause Dr piss is yellling at me?

    I am having the same problem. I think I am missing the Gaint Gear. Does anyone know where I can find it?

    You get the giant gear after doing the evil trashcans for the garbage man in hobo ally, then go to pellican bay.

    Questions that need answered:

    1) what quests do you have started, unfinished, completed?
    2) what order did you do them in? (you pretty much answered that, i think)
    3) what is the trashcan guy saying, and have you killed everything in hobo alley?

    If you started the trashcan quest and you never got the TRASH WASTED dialogue (which you would have remembered), then either he should be standing bricking it and acting scared, or your game is broken. Tell hothead! I'll try and recreate it.

    I know the game does some weird things; for example, the parts found screen is a little unpredictable, and doesn't always reflect the parts in your inventory. In the run up to the shithole finale, I left between fighting two groups of mobs, and although I'd already gotten all 122 parts for hobo alley (they were in my inventory with the 19 from desp. st, and i hadn't started pelican bay), it said 112/122 for hobo alley. It must update that when you finish the shithole, then.

    So yeah, if that's weird, then why wouldn't it mess up if you did it in the "wrong" (or unexpected) order? Most troubling.

    sounds to me like the step you are missing is...
    When you kill all the trashcans you will get a token from the trashman. You can then turn that token into the guy outside pelican bay in exchange for the gear.

    Take the gear to Ann and then you should be able to talk to the pee guy in hobo alley.

    Well if you're having the stamped meat problem as well...
    go to the shithole and look for the meat stamping machine inside.

    And, what if Ann doesn't want the gear, yet all other above stated triggers have been fufilled?

    I have the gear, but with Anne-Clare I have only this dialogue options: 1.What next? 2. I think I need more parts... 3. We'll be back later.

    Even though you don't have the ticket, go to Pelican Bay. I think you have to see something there before you can progress with Dr. Whimple.

    Even my case log says to go to her and deliver the gear but no response from her!

    Wasn't there a puddle of oil or something you had to encounter in Hobo Alley? Maybe that's it. But it's been a while since I played...
