    This one isn't actually a rover. They sent it to near the ice cap to basically sit there and sample ice to see what it can tell us.

    the technology to sustain 6 people on a planet for a year is still not really developed yet

    and i'd say its more of the military's fault since the shuttle was their idea

    I think what he's trying to say is since soviet russia fell we haven't really had a reason to put as ridiculously massive amounts of energy and money in the space program. Theres no one to try to beat anymore.
