I already rip most of my movies to my computer for use as a media center, and if necessary I can re-rip the DVD's I have in storage in order to produce a less compressed video than converting from Xvid. With the glut of available software for converting DVD to Iphone-type video, I am at a loss as to which one would be best.
Wow. Hail Satan and all that. I'll give it a shot. Videora's converter is fairly retarded in that it seems unable to piece together multiple .vob files.
Handbrake is just about the gold standard of DVD to * conversion programs. Clean, open source and all of that. The icon is retarded, but whatever... that can be changed easily.

if you are on a Mac, Handbrake seems to be the best choice right now.
When Videoera iPod converter worked for me(crashes on me every time I run it in Vista), it worked fine in the windows world.
PC, windows XP. I have heard of handbrake, and it's unfortunate that they do not have one for windows.
You two need to look harder next time :P

Just a crappy icon that doesn't fit in with the OS X look of things.
Here is what I use.
