So I need some new music to listen to, and I'm sure we're all in the same boat, so give me (and everyone else) some music ideas.
I know, I could probably use last.fm or some other method, but it seems to lack the human element of experience... plus you guys here all seem to have such good taste in music anyway (looking at you Koshian).
I've been into a bit an electro phase recently. On my playlist recently:
The Presets
The Faint
DJ Shadow
Anyone got any recommendations for similar artists?
Failing that, just fire off as many post-rock artists as you care to mention. ie: stuff similar to Explosions in the Sky, Godspeed You! Black Emperor etc etc
Also I'm up for any electro/hip-hop stuff (like DJ Shadow).
Or alternatively if you have nothing to offer, ask and ye shall (possibly) receive.

Not really. What term would you use instead? I guess progressive rock would do. Or experimental. But post is usually a mix between the two.

I've heard those names but never listened. Listening to Enter Shikari and Chiodos now, but am going to bed soon, so I will report my findings tomorrow morning. Am liking the use of synths and prominent, bassy beats so far.
I expect this place to be crammed full of more rad suggestions by tomorrow.
