This was a pretty great movie.

Sad that we didn't get to see
    the 7th lightning strike.

Those were pretty funny the way they did them.

The CGI was excellent. There a number of times that you could tell that they tried really hard to make the CGI look like Brad Pitt and they succeeded I thought.

old yeller, lady & the tramp, 101 dalmatians, homeward bound

to a lesser extent my dog skip and shiloh

man, homeward bound is definitely nowhere near as good as the original

homeward bound is fucking delightful and the sequel is actually pretty solid

Did you get disappointed when they didn't show the funeral service and then 20 minutes of the decomposition process during King Kong?

I wanted to hang out with some friends I had not seen in forever this weekend, and they suggested going to see this movie, which I had not heard a single thing about.

It was a very good movie. The opening and closing in particular are beautiful. And then just... the movie was great. It was kind of eerie though, the movie ended and the whole theater was silent, everybody just filed out without talking.

Saw the movie this past weekend, was very cool.

Plus, my little brother worked on about 42 of the visual effects shots.
The scar on the baby's cheek at the end? Yep, that was him.

    this movie was pretty disappointing
i think i would have liked it a lot better without the hospital scenes. they kept taking me out of the story and didn't really add anything. sometimes they would interrupt things for a single line and then go right back.

i really like the symmetric nature of fitzgerald's story - his life overlapping with the lives of his father and his son and the strain he puts on both of them because he is too old/young. that aspect was completely taken out of the film.

the lighting and aging effects were really great though, my favorite scene was
when he watched the sunrise with his father

Very nice movie, emotional ending, liked it overall.

I'll probably find the Fitzgerald short story when I go back to school, give it a read.
