    Yes! I love this question, because I fell asleep once for about two days.

    I fell asleep shortly after returning from a flu shot, and didn't wake up for two days. It was very unsettling.

    EDIT: Not tossing and turning, or getting up for water. Just out like a light for two days, I didn't even know how long I was asleep until my parents told me.


    Heh, counting medications i would say my biggest trip was 18 hours or so... still short of the 20, but damn, when they knock you out for having wisdom teeth removed they do not fuck around.

    One time at school a guy I know called Josh had fallen asleep on a stool leaning on desk. My mate Craig decided to wake him.

    He woke him up by slamming his fist on the table while simutaneously yelling in his ear.

    Josh woke up with a start and jumped back sliding onto some desks that were hard up against the windows and slammed into the windows.

    If it wasn't for the fact that the windows were shut at the time he would have fallen out of the classroom.

    We all went to a different classroom, turned the lights off in that one, shut all the blinds and shut the door

    I think we even messed with the clock

    I once went four days without sleep.

    By the end of it I was dreaming while awake.

    It was confusing as fuck so I went to sleep.

    And yeah, I was playing Earth & Beyond.

    I can't stay up all night watching movies. I'll just fall asleep.

    I can stay up all night chatting to somone, but when I start watching a movie and I'm a bit tired I'll just drift off.

    I think the longest I've done is forty hours. Got up on the Tuesday, went to lectures, went to a formal dinner with my friends, went back to my friend's room, listened to music on YouTube until about six in the morning, then walked two and a bit miles back to my room. By that time I realised that there was no real point going to bed as I had to be up in an hour, so I had a shower, made breakfast and went back to the faculty for a lecture. I then hung around with a friend doing nothing, got elected to the committee of my subject's society at the AGM, then went home and wrote an essay on Beowulf until the wee hours of the morning.

    Yeah, as long as you keep yourself occupied it's easy to stay awake. Whenever people start watching something late at night they always drift off, no matter how exciting the movie maybe.

    Longest i have stayed up would be at a lan, Friday through to Sunday afternoon which i then proceeded to sleep for 21 hrs.

    Most i've ever done is probably when i drove back from 1350 miles or so in one shot. Started at 4pm in the afternoon, ended up done about 12pm. Think it was about 20 hours on the road straight. and that includes 5 stops for gas and one speeding ticket.

    If you think microsleeps while driving late at night are fun, you should try having them going 65 through packed traffic in the middle of a city. Or better yet, don't.

    Because driving 120+mph with no light beyond your headlights at 4 am is seriously fucking suicidal.

    48 hours of no sleep, just continuous physical labor. I was working at Costco, stocking during the night shift, 2am to 10am. Then after that shift I had to drive to another Costco and help them out with their expo, which is from whenever I get there until around 8. Then I go my own Costco that I work at and start stocking and getting ready for it's own expo. At 9 the doors open and my God there are so many people. It all closes down at 10, but I immediately have to start cleaning up and stocking again because everyone bought everything, which lasted until 10 am next day in the morning. I then helped eat 20 boxes of pizza with soda and ice cream, and then I went to sleep for 2 hours, only to be woken up by a phone call by my friend saying that the dudes are getting to play football. So I go to the park, play 3 hours of football, go eat, play two hours of poker, then sleep for 12 hours.

    After my first shift, I got paid overtime except for my normal shift the next day. I was baller yo, baller.

    Staying awake for extended periods of time scares the hell out of me. Two years ago I didn't get more than a few hours of sleep for an entire week, and I started to hallucinate when I was in bed. I would see spiders all over the place, and they'd crawl all over me and shit. I've been ridiculously afraid of spiders ever since, and still can't fall asleep with some sort of light on.

    And now this is going to be used against me.

    Two and a half weeks with no sleep at all. I had this horrible whooping cough and every 2 minutes I'd be coughing my lungs up. I ended up passing out on the subway for 4 hours. I missed a job interview in the process.

    Last week can be tossed into this thread now. Only three of the eight days in and around that week involved sleep, the rest were two overnights and one three night stint.
