Monitor Issues (Nevermind)

ElKaboomElKaboom Registered User regular
So my computer monitor is displaying at a strange resolution after I just reformatted. This isn't the first time this has happened either, but I don't remember how I resolved the issue before (I think I just plugged it into the other slot in my graphics card, but that isn't working now anyways). I'm really not that computer savvy either.

The strange thing is that all the resolutions that are available now aren't appropriate. The only resolution that is appropriate is just a tad too large (larger than I had it previous to the reformatting) and is the same exact irritating perspective I had to fix the first time (1024x768). Everything is in proportion; however, it all seems a bit stretched (pixels are more visible).

I have this slight nagging worry in the back of my head that its my graphics card.

Any solutions? Is this even the right sub-forum?

If it helps, the monitor is a 22" Westinghouse. If you need any other information to aid me I'll hand it over in boat-loads.

-EDIT-
The website says the native/optimal resolution is 1680x1050, which is what I was previously running it at I'd imagine.

-EDIT EDIT-
PROBLEM SOLVED. Sorry for making such an inconvenient thread. Kill it.
