Selling my desktop PC - How much to ask?

Hey folks. I'm looking to sell off my PC (preferably all in one shot) and replace it with a decent laptop. All I ever use my PC for anymore is surfing the internet, graphic design and writing. I do all my gaming on my 360 these days, so I'd rather just go ahead and switch to a laptop - something I can use at home comfortably, as well as use at school, and on the go.

Problem is, I have no idea what to ask for, price-wise. I'm thinking of putting my rig up on Craigslist and selling it to someone local, so I don't have to go to the trouble of taking it all apart and shipping it. Also, so I won't be without a computer for an indeterminate amount of time before everything is sold off and I can go get a laptop.

If you folks could help me out with a rough estimate of what a good asking price would be, I'd really appreciate it. Here are the specs:

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3500+, Socket 939
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA - K8N - Pro - SLi, 2 PCIe
Memory: 2 gig DDR 400
Hard Drive: 80 gig
Videocard: XFX NVidia 6800GT 256MB
Power supply: Enermax Liberty 500w

It has a WiFi card, a DVD drive, a 48/24/48 CD Reader/Writer
The monitor is a Hyundai ImageQuest V995 (19inch)

And it's all in a Raidmax X-1 Case (Silver and black)

Granted, I'm not expecting much. The system can comfortably play everything up to and including Oblivion, comfortably. I'd be happy with anywhere from $200-$300, but if you folks think it's worth more than that as a package, then great. I'm just looking to take a decent bite out of the cost of a laptop.

Thanks in advance, folks!

Not sure on prices, but I'm pretty sure that monitor is a 19".

I'd pay 400 dollars (max) for that.

(Considering I just picked up a Gateway with 3 gigs of RAM, 250 gig harddrive, and some mid-range videocard, along with a 17inch screen, for 600 dollars, I'd say thats a proportionate price).

I'm guessing you'd be lucky to get $350+ for that.

Shoot for somewhere between $300 - $350, or at least I would.

Do you want to just get rid of it or maximize profit?

Where do you live again? selling that I doubt I could get $250 for the PC... especially if you're wiping the HDD first. Hard to justify $400 considering absence of room to upgrade. But then again, if you can get a legit copy of XP on it, you might be able to sell it to old people.

Consider selling in two pieces.... PC, then Monitor. You'll probably have better luck that way if you have a technical populace.

I'd throw that up on craigs list with a total package price, then price out each component to be like 50% to 75% of what Newegg charges. That way if technophiles see it and want a piece, they can buy it, otherwise you can sell the whole thing together.
