I had like 5 pokemon cards when I was a kid. I wanted more but man they were expensive.
My friend had like 30.
We could never battle or anything.
You can get like 70 pokemon cards at dollar stores now. They are in the international packs that don't have wizards of the coast plastered on the box anywhere, and do feature an occasional typo and are printed on flimsier cards, but fuck it man, I bought some and me and my friends battled for fun, and got $3.00, we sure did get our good fun.
I bet you're just pretending ignorance for the sake of the joke
If I was doing it for the sake of the joke, I would have picked a better joke.
I've never played M:TG before... it always seemed a lot more expensive than PTCG. Me and my bro got PTCG 300 card starter sets for our birthdays years and years ago, so I've only ever really known Pokemon.
I've also played the GBC version. I managed to lose the cart on a train somewhere though. That'll learn me.

Well, heck, I think we've all learned something today.
Hmm... is Magic any good, by the way? All I know of it is that it's slightly more involved than PTCG and Yu-Gi-Oh! (which I also haven't played) and you 'tap' cards. (Presumably by rotating them clockwise 90 degrees (and flipping them?))
this one time in Magic i needed to draw a fireball or something to deal direct damage to other player and win or i will lose, and i was all LOL GUYS HEART OF THE CARDS and then i drew the card i needed and won

This is why I look at the apparel they sell and smile, but would never consider purchasing it
