The Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy

Shaun of the Dead

It's just one of those days when you're feeling a little...dead.

Hot Fuzz

hot-fuzz-poster-1.jpg

Big Cops. Small Town. Moderate Violence.

The World's End

?

There isn't any information on this film at the moment, but Simon Pegg and Edgar Wright are writing it right now (hehe).

Not part of the Blood and Ice Cream trilogy but worth mentioning is "Paul." Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are writing and starring in this film, which will revolve around them taking a road trip across America. (I'm relatively sure Edgar Wright is not directing).

Socialism is the concrete foundation of America. Capitalism is the flimsy tin shack that sits upon it.

Can't wait for Paul especially since this time Nick Frost is the main character and Simon Pegg is the buddy/sidekick

The third one is essentially Independence Day in middle england. Aliens invade but instead of attacking famous landmarks (NYC etc) they attack rural Britain. That's all we know of the script so far.

It will ape apocalypse movies in the vein of Day After Tomorrow, Godzilla etc.

Pretty sure that if Wright doesn't direct this the style of the trilogy will be ruined.

    Freaking awesome.

Also I liked HF more than Shaun, but I think that has a lot to do with being tired of the zombie genre in general.

I liked Hot Fuzz more than Shaun as well, but not because I'm tired of the zombie genre.

It just felt more polished, and you get little jokes that you didn't see before every time you watch it.

    Eh.

This movie is coming out in 2010.

And they usually work on a really tight schedule (took only 6-8 weeks to film Hot Fuzz), so he shouldn't be that bogged down.

Dear makers of the "X* movie" series. This is how you do satire. Not redoing a scene from a movie with fart gags.

except sadly there is a large part of the population who doesn't "get" the higher level of satire.
fart jokes are the height of their humor capacity.

it makes me sad, but it is true :S
