All three of you that bought it know what I'm talking about.
There were three sides; the meccaryns, the reavers; and kabuto. In single player you played as all three. The meccaryns had jetpack and guns and inflatable things and a helicopter, the reavers had magic and swords and things and kabuto was HOOOOOOGE.
I can actually barely remember anything about it other than it was amazing and the last few levels of the soldier campaign, where you had to build a base by collecting smarties (little builder dudes) and shooting herds of cattle while flying over with your jetpack in order to get the helicopter and awesome nukes to blow up the reavers. I played that level over and over and over. The reavers had way more base building missions but it wasn't as cool as that single soldier one. Playing as kabuto was neat too.
I bought the shit out of this game. I had a PC copy and an Xbox copy. Then, later, I bought a new sound card OEM, and the game came with it. So bad ass.
This game was so kick ass. So much lost potential also, the Multiplayer was fantastic but getting into games was all but fucking impossible.
The one time I got into a decent game though, it was glorious. Kabutos were killed with suicide gyrocopter pilots, Reapers were douchebags with their little hover bikes, and good times were had.

I liked the game more for it's humor than it's gameplay. I felt it kinda went flat after the Mecc campaign, though the Kabuto missions were fun in their way.
I guess the real problem for me was that it kept jumping around in terms of what kind of game it wanted to be, and ended up not succeeding in any.
Also I remember something about some 'demo' that was all of 64k and everyone was jacking off to the idea and how it would be the future, which was funny.

I never got to play this game
It makes me sad because it sounds like something I would have liked
I thought it was funny as hell, but I never did progress far enough to get to the Kabuto part, which was what I was really playing it for. I don't recall why, but I didn't find the reaver gameplay to be very entertaining.

Did none of you ever play the multiplayer?
One guy being Kabuto and starting out really small, needing to hunt for food and Smarties to grow and at the end becoming a giant beast.
One team being Meccaryns and building their base and flying a helicopter around.
Another team being the sea reavers, also building a base, teleporting and jumping from hill to hill and at the end summoning a fucking tornado?
I love this game so much. I never really got around to playing the multiplayer, which I regret now, but the singleplayer was so amazing. Then they followed it up with the amazing Armed and Dangerous, and life was good. Too bad Planet Moon doesn't seem to be making awesome games anymore.

I got this game for like $5 for my PS2 and loved it. The problem I had was the first faction you play was by far the most fun and I ended up liking the next two but never as much.
EDIT: and haha, I knew what the above clip was going to be before watching it.
I can't remember her name, but the sea reaper you play had my all time favorite power in any game. The one that let you point at an area REALLY far away and then leap to it.
Multiplayer sounded so epic back before it was released. I wish it had reached its potential. It was frustrating mainly for the "hard to get games together" already mentioned.
How I'd love a sequel.

i never played this but i do own armed and dangerous which i guess was made by the same people?
very underrated game as well
Armed and Dangerous deserves a sequel
If only for the possibility of next-gen Topsy Turvy bombs and Land Shark gun
I actually popped it in the other day, its still a pretty awesome game. But it would be nice if the devs (assuming they're still around) made something new.

Fun game! Came bundled with my Elsa Geforce card. Giants and Deus Ex were the only good games I ever got bundled with hardware. Actually Shadows of the Empire was okay too come to think of it but the hardware it was bundled with wasn't.
I really love games with jetpacks (off topic, anyone remember a 80286 action-puzzle game called Jetpack?) I remember the jetpack mechanic kind of felt clunky, though.
It's been so long since I've posted here, I've removed my signature since most of what I had here were broken links. Shows over, you can carry on to the next post.

Imma reinstall
The Mecc campaign was the best. Man, now I wish I remembered where my disk was. The ps2 version kinda sucks.
Oh and god damn this game was hard.
Edit: ya I later found the pc version for cheap and its is alot better than the ps2 version.

Let me just say that it was one of the best times I ever had with a game.
Oh and we could see the boobies. YES.
there is totally a copy of it laying in the free pile at activision right now, no one will trust me and play it though

That is tremendously depressing.
It had a joke about SAMUEL PEPYS' diary. Made by a British alien. Do you need to know more? No, you don't.
Armed & Dangerous was pretty easy.
Then we must accept the conjecture that you suck.
