    The original Star Control.

Star Control 2 is also a cult classic, but even most people who have played it often have no idea how good the first one was at the time.

Fuck... there was this first person adventure game out in the early-mid 90s, that I remember being so awesome when I was kid, but I can't remember the name of it. All I remember is that you were in some kind of space prison and the CD-ROM had an three fingered Alien hand on it.

Snowboard Kids was my life for like 2 years, I fucking loved that game. I got really good, too.

Umm...Mischief Makers was the shit, Star Fox 64 was also the shit, I adored Heart of Darkness...

Tron Bonne was ahead of it's time in so many ways and I am kicking myself that the playstation I could play it on broke.

One game that hasn't come up here is The Longest Journey. Yeah, I know we got Dreamfall and everything, but I've never met anyone in real life that has played it aside from myself.

that ain't no proper shadowrun, just a jumped up online fps, wasn't it?

only played it a few times, and was not impressed. ugh, how can you not take advantage of how awesome the shadowrun setting is? c'mon, elf hackers and troll street samurais and dwarf mages and etc etc. it boggles the mind.

Hugo's House of Horrors. The Lion King for the SNES, as well as the Power Rangers game. I love how you could put that code in to battle as the Megazord.

    SimAnt.

Unlike most of the cheap SimXXXXX games maxis released after the success of SimCity, this one was actually good. Probably because Will Wright actually had a hand in it.

Often overlooked as it doesn't really fit the sim game profile, but it played out as a weird biological RTS where you tried to make an ant colony powerful enough to take over a suburban lot.

Also had a 'silly' mode where humourous speech bubbles would appear over the various ants, antlions, spiders et al.

Simant was rad, although I only ever played in Experiment mode.

I've got the CD version around here somewhere. As well as SimEarth. And the SimEarth strategy guide, which is fucking awesome.
