pretty much the entirety of lunch today was my friends poking fun at my girlfriend's lesbianhood

she's a pretty good sport about that stuff and that is why i love her

she never really filled the role

it's funny because i've met her ex-girlfriend and she is totally a lesbian but my girlfriend doesn't fit the part at all

Something about that whole scenario smells fishy, and I don't mean her vagina.

For some reason that "Us" video reminds me of Neutral Milk Hotel

someone make a regina spektor/sufjan stevens mix cd for me

their music would probably go together real well with a pint of ben and jerry's and re runs of the golden girls.

I fixed up your post for you

    no need to thank me.

    Sufjan Stevens is great.

I also don't see how his music is comparable at all to this.

I suppose it could be like a peanut butter/chocolate kinda deal.

There is just something about it.

I think it might be that 7th resolving to tonic she sings on "your hair was long / when we first met"

But the whole song's flow and the lyric, it is so melancholy somehow, so tragic. I can't stop listening to it.

you think your fancy pants reasons allows this?!

It's a good song when I'm in the mood for it, but I prefer Better (which for some reason strikes me as similar)

Alot of them tend to be. Apparently, Neil Young was a huge douche as well.

But, c'mon, Ben Folds' improv everywhere thing?

Regina Spektor just has this crazy amazing gift of emoting with her voice. Not many singers can convey that much emotion in their songs.

This is Regina Spektor's most beautiful song:

    Regina Spektor - Somedays

She also does a cover of John Lennon's "Real Love" that, so help me, I actually like better than the original.

Regina Spektor - Real Love cover

Also, YaYa, get Absolution. It's fantastic, and definitely makes for a great first Muse album.

man I'm not saying she sold out or anything but Soviet Kitsch was way better, and plus the version of Samson on Begin to Hope seems really off

although it does have That Time on it
