Faith and Religion

Pretty sure most of the people posting here are either non-religious or don't worship traditionally, but I'm also guessing most of you were raised under some kind of organized religion. I want to know if that's changed, and why.
If you are a religious guy, what religion do you follow? Why do you keep following? Or why did you switch to a different faith?
If you were religious at some point but aren't any more, why did you stop?
And if you were never religious, do you ever wish things were different? Have you accepted some kind of faith?
This being SE++, I understand the desire to make really clever and funny comments when it comes to talking about SERIOUS BUSINESS on the internet. While D&D is , think of this as a rare opportunity to reflect before you post that image macro or make that gay for Jesus joke: are you really as funny as you think you're being? Don't be a dick unless you really have to.
I don't really mind any religions so long as they don't get in my face about it.

I'm agnostic. I was raised Orthodox however I never went to church since my parents didn't go, so I got my knowledge of Christianity from TV and my peers.
I'm Catholic. I stopped going for a few years after my confirmation, but then during college got back into it. I enjoy the traditions and it sorta clears my head to go to mass. I usually attend the mass they do in latin, thats how I prefer to roll. So, I guess it centers me.

I guess I was born a christian, and I've attended church a few times, but over the years, my family stopped going, and it's really open ended, I suppose.
I have too many questions and uncertainties to be tied to a religion, but I enjoy religious discussion because I learn and I also bring the pain on you misinformed fools.

Still go, but not as often and I'm not as involved.
Mostly don't go as much anymore because a lot of people I knew that attended have moved away, it's mostly just me and my girlfriend now and late Saturday nights turn into late Sunday mornings. I still like going, but I also like sleeping.
I'm Agnostic. My parents aren't religious and neither is anybody in my immidiate family.
One neat thing is my Grandpa is a German Catholic while my Grandma is a Russian Jew.
Even they aren't religious but we all still get together for Christmas, Hanukkah , and the like.

i was raised hindu, but when i was like nine, my brother told me he was an atheist and i wanted to be like him
over time i've gotten agnosticker
What's your background, Killjoy? And where are you posting from?
i'm south indian, but i lived around bombay most of my childhood. then my family came to toronto when i was eleven, and i've lived here ever since.
Ah, another Toronto resident - do you have the same kind of "what on earth is my culture supposed to be" ennui that I get as someone who's pretty much rejected all of his traditional familial heritage?
Raised Louisiana Catholic, sent to Catholic school for a good while. When it came time to get confirmed, I said no. I find the ceremony culturally provocative but totally detrimental to personal development. I'm now a hyper-lapsed Catholic with no morals and a creeping proclivity for nihilism.

sister theresa from our church was a great person, who did nothing but help my family through some tough times
after she went back to boston (she had a thick boston accent) it wasn't the same

and more about instilling stupid ideologies in people
I'm kind of used as a spiritual guy by most of my friends
it doesn't make sense to be absolute either way, but at least there's a payoff for religious folk if they're right
Only if you pick the right religion.
Or are you just trolling Pasal's Wager to try and be funny, Bemis.
