So, I got this when it went on sale a while back...but haven't played it yet, as I am dealing with a massive backlog, and with an addiction to buying new games (Lego Indiana Jones).

This was actually my first exposure to Xbox 360 gaming when it first came out. My buddy was the first of us to get a 360 and would have us all over. It pretty much was one of the reasons that I wanted a 360 in the first place.

Anyways, I finally sprung for the SECOND map pack, since my buddy got it and we want to get the extra achievements for them, and I am pretty sure we did the FIRST pack by local play on his machine back in the day.

When we system linked this weekend, and either of us tried to set a game up, it said that the host was using a resource or something that the other one of us didn't have...but we both have the SECOND map pack. He does have the FIRST one, but I don't...should that matter? I really don't want to have to buy the FIRST pack, if I have already done them....

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

A friend and I had trouble getting it up and running together. Turns out I had the free gun pack and he didn't. Once he downloaded it and restarted the game we were fine.

So it's possible that you both having different add-ons is throwing things off, yes.

perhaps he can delete the first map pack, temporarily, so you can play? He can always re-download it.

edit: but I thought the first pack was free now?

It is. The first two are free, the second two are pay.

I stopped playing GRAW1 when the map pack came out. I really hate how Ubi does this.

We both have the single player free gun pack...

Hmm...I will see if he can delete the first pack... You are sure that we can re-download it?

We also both had to install game updates and restarted, but maybe something was out of synch and we needed to restart again? I had also downloaded that one free single map, but he hadn't...

    We'll keep experimenting...

    Thanks!

A friend and I had a simular problem, I could join his server but he could'nt join mine even though we had the same content, as I recall the problem was solved when we both deleted the single player gun pack.

Also I see to recall Nowhere (the single free map) causing some people problems, might be worth deleteing it and redownling it when he does (good map, but it will cause problems if only one of you has it).

Its also possible that they updated the packs that you have installed, and one of you have an older version. Its probably not a bad idea to delete all content and both start from scratch downloading the same content.
