Las week, Wizards of the Coast announced several changes to MTG starting with the set that comes out on October 3:
What are your thoughts on these changes? I'm pretty happy about all of them.
Also, let me be the first to say, "Worst. post. evar."
- Sets will be smaller
- Introduction of "Mythic Rare" cards
- One of the 16 cards in every booster will be a basic land
- New product: intro packs that include a 41-card pre-con and a booster.
What are your thoughts on these changes? I'm pretty happy about all of them.

It's a solid game, albeit derivative of MTG. My girlfriend prefers it (WoW TCG) as she is familiar with WoW lore and finds the mechanics and cards more accessible.

I like these, not so much the smaller sets. At least with more lands I might be able to make some one color decks instead of multi color for once. I realllly shouldn't have started during Ravnica.
Adding a land card to every booster just makes solid sense.
The intro packs seem kinda meh, maybe they are intended for some sort of limited gameplay, dunno.
Mythic rare cards is hells of dumb, but the reduction in set size more than makes up for this bit of stupidity.

Onslaught was awesome
and "mythic rare" just sounds like "rapes you in the ass rare" to me. probably to offset making sets smaller, so collectors still have to buy 178 boxes to get a full set.
anyway magic has sucked ever since they started introducing fucktons of new abilities that make your old cards obsolete.
ugh.

-How much of a cut down on sets are we talking here?
-Cutting out the shit cads would be nice
-Mythic rares basically already exist now they actually are acknowledging them by putting them in there own category
