Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots features an aging and exhausted Solid Snake in the middle of a futuristic battlefield. In spite of his failing body, Snake is equipped with a crucial new device tentatively known as "OctoCamo," a high-tech suit that dynamically transforms its texture based on Snake's surroundings. This revolutionary new gameplay mechanic allows him to seamlessly blend into the environment, providing him with the means to stalk his enemies like never before. This latest chapter in Hideo Kojima's legendary tactical espionage actin series marks the return of several characters from previous Metal Gear Solid games including Revolver Ocelot, Meryl Silverburgh, Naomi Hunter and Raiden, and features an unforgettable story that depicts the desperate state of the future as seen through the eyes of an older Solid Snake. Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit
Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit is the first game of the Dragonball Z series to hit the next generation consoles. During each battle, find conditions to create new dramatic scenes. After the battles, watch a unique story unfold each time you play. There is also a stronger element of offence and defence, due to added energy saving and fighting techniques. Competition grows with the ability to play online in both the co-op and vs. modes. During each battle, find conditions to create new scenes and watch a unique story unfold at the end of each game. Experience visuals and movement reminiscent of the anime due to Z3 shading technology and detailed effects. Increased speed of charge and release on the field, free movement around the field, and increased speed and power of attacks. Use of special skills will no longer drain energy. The lower your energy, the stronger you get, making for a possible turnaround of the battle. Each character in the game has his own "Fatal Blow". If the player successfully attacks his opponent, this would be a finishing move, but if not, it will put the player in the disadvantageous situation, and he must battle with no Fatal Blow for the rest of the battle. EVE Online; Empyrean Age
EVE Online is a massively multiplayer game. Hundreds of thousands of players compete within a single persistent universe for military, economic and political power. Players explore the suns of New Eden, mine and refine resources, drive the economy, and wage war on one another in a richly detailed virtual world set 35,000 years in the future in a stellar cluster far from Earth.

This summer, CCP will bring EVE into the Empyrean Age. The four major Empires of EVE have broken their long-standing peace and are marshalling their forces for war. The outcome hinges on the actions of the galaxy's immortal pod pilots, allowing players to direct the course of the conflict.

The events of Empyrean Age have been a long time coming, building upon nearly a century of political tension. Access to Jovian technology ushered in the age of the pod pilots and shattered the balance of power, and recent events have sparked a march towards total war.

The events leading to the outbreak of war in New Eden unfold in EVE: The Empyrean Age, the first EVE novel, written by Tony Gonzales and published in the UK by ORION Books.

Anyone who doesn't buy MERCS II.. I mean Commando 3 is a heathen.

Holy shit they're bringing over Jake Hunter!?

I think I have the artbook somewhere. Stylistically, it looks good.

Edit: Huh, $19.99 price tag, but here's an excerpt from GameFAQs:

"The original Japanese version contained 6 cases including 5 remade episodes and 1 original.

But it seems the North American version has only 3 first episodes in chronological order, which was originally

released in Japan in 1987,88 and 89. (Those episodes are greatly converted for DS, so don't worry about the time gap.)

So the last three episodes including the original case for DS is removed in North American Version."

I bought Commando 3 on the PS3 last week. It's pretty fantastic. I'm a huge fan of the original Commando, and Mercs isn't too shabby either.

Also, I've basically been waiting for MGS 4 since I finished MGS 3 for the first time in November of 2004. I'm really excited.

Commando 3 might be worth a look, especially as it will include entry to the SSFIITHDR beta or whatever stupid FDGFGJFGNHA it is called these days. That actually looks pretty tasty.

But man I have a bit of a problem with the ever-expanding XBLA backlog, I still need to find time for Penny Arcade Adventures, Roo Goo and Aces of the Galaxy. Too many games. Can't keep up.

MERCS is amazing. Best of the first two Commando games.

We can only pray that Commando 3 is half as awesome as MERCS, because if it is, then it can quite possibly one of the best top down shooters since 1990. When MERCS was released.

The encouraging thing is that Commando 3 looks to be taking a lot more of an inspiration from MERCS than from Commando.

It's Super Joe Commando. Captain Commando is a distant second :)

Slash, as I said, I bought Commando 3 on PS3 last week and it's awesome. It's basically a 3D Mercs. It even has the same PoW pickups.

I couldn't wait for the 360 version with the beta.

It's a little weird playing it with a twin stick setup, but it has a cool multiplayer mechanic to the scoring that makes replaying and perfection-seeking quite enjoyable.

    Plus, online co-op!

Also, I won't be sleeping on Wednesday night due to hype.

EDIT: Commando 3 also has multiple palm trees you can destroy for points and things what have a blinking "SHOOT" on top of them.

It's less "Phoenix Wright" and more like those old school detective games, ala Snatcher and Rise of the Dragon. Most of the interactions are choices, but there are many branches.
