Best Wii game for a 5 year old and 8 year old girls
Just trying to find a birthday present for my little cousins (the 5 year old). They have a Wii, and are pretty phenomenal at Wii Sports, and have tried Wii Fit and liked it. I'm trying to find a game that they would like to play together. Any and all suggestions please. Thanks!
Wario Ware: Smooth Moves is awesome. Fast-paced, exciting, colorful, highly varied, not too complicated, and the most fun I've had with the wiimote so far.
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games...
That takes a lot of practice to get really good at, but most kids are gaming-prodigies nowadays.
Big Brain Academy - Wii Degree...
If they like to compare and compete, a simple "brain"-game should be the key.
Mario Kart Wii...
It's just fun. A golden standard for all ages. Some kids really enjoy the Wii Wheel.
Link's Crossbow Training (comes with the Wii Zapper... or you could convince them to sell it separately if you don't want the Zapper)...
Competitive fun. Family-friendly.
I have Wario Ware myself. I actually hardly play it, I should bust it out and try it with them when they're over. I like the Boom Blox idea. I have Mario Kart too, I think they liked it. Could try that one too. Any other suggestions?
-My Sims? It's a great game. But I'm not sure if two people can really play it...
It's more of a "When is it my turn?" kind of game.
-Mario Party's pretty good of a choice.
-Brawl? No. That's for boys and tomboyish preteen girls.
Oh and if you like the idea of My Sims. My Sims Kingdom is coming out... a medieval version of that... if they like knights and princesses.
How about Super Mario Galaxy? It can be tough, but it's also simple. And the 2nd player can help support the 1st player in the game.
If you don't mind them playing a "When is it my turn?"-game, you can get them Petz Cats 2. I heard from people (even hardcore gamers that happened to get it as a freebie), it's like an easy-version of Zelda.
And if they're smart enough for it: Harvest Moon Tree of Tranquility is coming out. It's a farm-simulator. They get to gain relationships with the townspeople while raising a successful farm.
And how about some WiiWare or Virtual Console games? There's a bunch to recommend from there.

Seriously though, I've heard many good things about Boom Blox.
