Im bringing my DS with Tetris, Mario Kart and Puzzle Quest. But I will be picking up the new guitar hero for the DS. I see that being a big hit at PAX with the wireless duel play

Umm...If I have not finished it by then, The World Ends With You...Mario Kart...Guitar Hero: World Tour...FF XII: RW...And whatever I go "Oo! Shiney" for.

There was a thread, but I can't find it. So much for being lazy and copy/pasting my answer from there.
Anyway, I'm technically bringing all of my DS games, but the only game I've bought "for" PAX is Ultimate Mortal Kombat for it's Puzzle Fighter clone. My husband has bought Worms DS specifically as a new game to take with us, as well. All the standard prerequisites will be included, from both Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, Mario Kart, Tetris, etc. I do also have WEWY so I'm open to being whipped in Tin Pin Slammer, too.
I'm going to be bringing Mario Kart, Jump Ultimate Stars (if anyone really wants to play it), Tetris, and Metroid Prime: Hunters. I'd be up for playing any game that we can get decent download play out of though.

Mario Kart DS is usually the "crowd favorite," so I will be bringing that, along with Metroid Prime Hunters, and whatever else I may decide to get between now and then.
Jump Ultimate Stars needs more love. I ran into to many people who said they had it but didn't bring it cause they thought no one would be interested in playing an import game
Naw, I've had it sitting in my back-pack pretty much since I got it a year ago. My only issue with it isn't really the game so much as doing download play with JUS feels slightly lacking vs. the full game.

Definitely down, here was the other talk about what to play.
So far what I see as the official roster of NDS games:
The World Ends With You
Mario Kart DS
Mario Party DS
Puzzle Quest
Ultimate Mortal Kombat (mainly for Puzzle Figher Clone)
Jump Ultimate Stars
Pokemon Diamond and Pearl
Now no one has really talked about PSP games but a few I would like to see:
Wipeout Pure/Pulse
Metal Gear Portable Ops
Puzzle Quest
Metal Gear Acid 1 & 2

Pictochat is a given, all 4 rooms will be full wherever you go pretty much, especially during the concerts. XD
Also, Worms Open Warfare 2 would be fun to play, NDS and PSP.

That's the version my husband has and is bringing for his DS.
i've got my old game boy color, so pokemon red for me!
or if i can, um, borrow a DS, i'll be on Pictochat >.> its where the cool kids hang.
Heh, my bf finally caved and bought a DS this year before a business trip. Now I can't tear him off of The World Ends With You. He definitely felt like the odd man out when crowds of people whipped out their DS and started playing. What I'm saying is: consider the DS as a worthy investment for PAX.

trust me, i would be the happiest camper if i could play TWEWY during PAX, but sadly i'm focusing my monies on my epic cosplay for PAX. TWEWY will just have to wait.
I've been sorta looking for Worms: Open Warfare 2 for a while in anticipation of PAX and I just snagged it yesterday off of Gamestop.com. It is on sale right now for only $9.99 for a new copy, which is probably as cheap as it will ever be.

Ah, the bray of the barnyard fanboys. If you haven't read a game blog in forever, while still behind the NDS 70million sold, the PSP has pushed 30million. So really lots of people have them.
now we just need to call up the guiness book of world records and then we can get the record for the most ds's (like 4 million) and psp's (like 23) in one area at the same time lol

HA! This is perfect! We have to contact Guiness and let them know we're going to break that record, then setup one of the larger auditorium rooms and bring in every person that has a DS! We can list it as an event on the schedule too. Except this time they won't be saying "Sadly they weren't all logged into the one Pictochat session, furiously sketching juvenile sexual taunts to each other." I wonder if they got that from PAX, because those were the only things flying through the PictoChat rooms last year. :P

That sounds awesome!!!
So...
I put in a claim on their website to officially allow the attempt in the line entering PAX.
If they say yes, I'd talk to whomever at PA would give permission for me and others to walk down the line keeping track of the number of players.

I have the contact details of the editor-in-chief for Guinness World Records, if anyone wants to go for this. I met him at the Games Media Awards last year and his exact words were 'if you ever want to set a record, let me know'.

if you can afford its pricetag of 50 bucks it will rock you shit at pax with the prospect of guitar duels, anywhere, any time

I try not to buy anything from them anymore but I got a free $25 gift card from doing some on-line surveys.
I've been looking for that too. Went ahead and grabbed a copy. Can't beat $10 for a non-used game these days.
Ah, the bray of the barnyard fanboys. If you haven't read a game blog in forever, while still behind the NDS 70million sold, the PSP has pushed 30million. So really lots of people have them.
Then maybe the PSP people should stand up and rally against the NDS. UNITE!!
I'd rather contact the OTHER guiness.....
I second that, let me look up St. James Gate in the Yellow Pages.
That sounds awesome!!!

sadly, yes. But look at it this way: Our record will be broken some day after that. Of course, it will just be us breaking it again next year. :P
BTW, at my local Wal-Mart, the are offering EBA, a neoprene case, 2 screen wipes and 3 stylus for $15. Not sure if it is nation wide.
I have talked 2 other people into getting a DS lately. They went strait to Wally World from Game Stop to get EBA and a fancy new case.

I am so up for doing this.
