"PyroBlazer is a futuristic combat racing game. Set amidst the awe-inspiring locations of New Apeiron, players get the opportunity to race through a multitude of environments using a wide selection of anti-gravity craft known as Blazers. In their quest for glory, players can blast their way through the scorched valleys of Gnosis, the deserted cities of Haedra or the densely populated Underdome of Evelads.

As the players fight their way through the championship, improved Blazers with better speed, handling and superior firepower become available. Players also have the ability to pick up weapon and ammo upgrades during the race, further enhancing their ability to land the killer blow. In addition to the single player modes such as Quick Race and Championship, Pyroblazer also offers players the ability to compete against each other in 6-player local and internet-based combat racing. I think it looks pretty good. Cool music in the trailer. I'm glad it's not the techno music we hear with every game like this (not that there's anything wrong with that it's just cool to hear something different). Online sounds like it'd be fun too. I just hope the controls work well.

I just went to the pyroblazer website and it lead me to the eipix site (the company that's making the game). From the website:

"Pyroblazer is a game of futuristic, full 3D, racing through enclosed tunnels. Players can engage in a nonlinear story spanning over 20 levels, 12 vehicles, more than 20 weapons, etc."

It looks like FZero GX, which I guess is good.

New developer, always interesting.

The proof's in the pudding, though.
We'll see how it plays.

I dunno, I think between Mario Kart and the Monkey race in Monkey Ball, the racing meets things blowing up game may have an issue getting a foothold
