Guess that forumer!

Okay this one is easy:

Search through a forumer's history to find a post they've made that you think identifies them.

Then quote it but don't list the name, instead list it in a spoiler underneath.

Prizes (maybe a hug) goes to the first person who guesses correctly, they then pick someone else to quote.

Don't worry too much about breaking the chain it's not like this is really serious or anything.

If you have to use the search function or click the spoiler you get minus one million cool points.

Here is an easy one to start:

I just always assumed johnny just
Used some sort of Drebin service to unlock his weapons
behind everyones back so he wouldn't get caught avoiding the shots.

Yeah, and aside from how much that would cut into his income, I can believe that he did that. However, it still doesn't explain how the entire chain of command completely ignored the fact that all their stat-tracking and battle-coordination stuff didn't work on him. Meryl goes into this whole thing about how the system monitors fear, pain, ration consumption, water intake, ammunition remaining, firing accuracy, visual contact with the enemy, and so on. She lists like fifty different things that the nanomachines do that are all really valuable in combat. Then she even demonstrates it when she and her two teammates get attacked and they move and fire as one to defend themselves. Then she goes "but Johnny isn't part of any of this." Then later, she acts SURPRISED when she finds out he doesn't have nanos. How the fuck is that a surprise? How did nobody in the chain of command notice and fix that?

I thought the system monitored and adjusted all that stuff? It would be way, way too much to have someone monitoring the vitals and nuances of every single active soldier all the time.

The system does monitor it at the AI level, but it also reports it to the relevant battlefield commanders, the guys who are all "we'll send reinforcements" when someone radios back with a problem. In addition to that, the information also goes to the other squadmates of the soldier in question, which is demonstrated by Meryl and her two squadmates (not counting Johnny) being able to move and fight in perfect sync with each other. So really pretty much every relevant party is aware of some form of data coming out of those nanomachines, and every single one of them should notice that something is wrong. ESPECIALLY the high-level AI, which should notice that there's a non-tagged individual walking around with tagged troops and acting like a member of their squad.

I keep forgetting that you haven't beaten the game yet because it actually does explain some stuff about Rat Patrol you probably didn't realize

I have beaten the game, and it doesn't explain exactly when Meryl got clonked on the head with a frying pan such that she doesn't realize that the reason Johnny doesn't show up on the nanomachine stuff is because he doesn't have them.
it explains why he never caught any shit for his gear, though. the only reason drebin could launder the weapons is because the patriots let him, and since rat patrol was created and monitored by the patriots that would make the gear IDs a non issue.

secondly, since supposedly everyone on the battlefield had nanomachines and it was completely mandatory, even for PMCs, it wouldn't really make sense for her first assumption to be 'oh he must not have them'. Some people are just inept no matter how many chemicals you pump into them.

It's not a question of "inept." It's a question of "I can see what my squadmates see, because of nanos, except this guy. I can feel what they feel, because of nanos, except this guy. They see what I see, because of nanos, except this guy." Her whole explanation of how nanos enhance teamwork in a squad sounded like she was actually telling me that he didn't have them, it was so fucking obvious. I figured there was some special reason why it was OK. Turns out that no, it wasn't OK, she was just that fucking stupid. Which I don't buy.
Also, OK, so the squad was run by the Patriots. That doesn't mean shit. Please explain to me why "the Patriots ran that squad" means that it's somehow OK for exactly one guy to "duck out" on nano injections. That makes no sense whatsoever, it sounds like you're just going "A wizard did it" except changing "wizard" to "Patriot."
