I was on the edge of my seat for most of the film.

    Its like a movie you can study in a film class.

    Lots of structure and meaning in the framing of the characters. Very cool stuff.

    Okay there was some symbolism with the lady in the house alone but that didn't save the fact that this movie is a huge ripoff for anyone expecting a blockbuster.

    I thought the big twist was going to be that all the survivors had down syndrome, so then the world would be ruled by crazy people who all have chemical imbalances.

    another M Night Shamalyan or whatever movie that promises to be big and mysterious and ooooooooooooh wow a hook and it turns out to be a fucking disappointment because the dude's got shit for brains and doesn't realize that pacing alone does not make a decent movie

    I think M. Night's problems lie in the fact that Sixth Sense was just like this and so people have come to expect that all of his movies should also be like this

    I have a friend who generally has shit taste in movies. He loves every Will Ferrel movie, for example.


    He thinks The Happening was the worst movie he has ever seen.
