So I want to dive head first into development for OS X. Thing is, I don't really know where to start.
I'm a decent PHP programmer, I've dipped my toes in Ruby (of the variant that goes on rails), I've done some very basic shit in C#.NET. What I'd like are some book recommendations that takes Objective-C from the start, preferrably with Cocoa development in mind. Suggestions?
The Hillegass book. That's the best Cocoa book you'll ever buy.
It won't teach you good programming practice, but it'll teach you Cocoa from the start. It assumes you understand the very very basics of programming, which you do, so you'll be fine.
