Crysis problems...

I hope this is the right place to post this...

As you can see from the title, the issue is Crysis. As infamous as this game already is, it runs fine on my PC (Intel Quad core 2.4 GHz CPU, 4GB RAM, nVIDIA 9600 GT, 240GBHDD, Windows XP) except for a few problems:

1. It freezes during the intro (specifically the big EA thingy). It will start up, with the audio stuttering. Sometimes it does this before the logo even shows, sometimes it does halfway through. Also, sometimes the intro will run, but it will turn 'grainy' (random pixels will flash black). It seems to be solved every time I re-install the newest graphics card drivers, as well as the first time I start it up after rebooting the PC, but not thereafter. Recently I fixed this by deleting the intro vids in the Crysis folder, seems to work...but if it is related to any of the other errors, please tell.

2. It will infrequently crash to desktop with a "Crysis.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close..." error. This seems to happen sometimes just after I enter a pickup truck, otherwise randomly.

3. When I accidentally go to desktop (happens when I hold in alt and press something else), and click on crysis in the taskbar, it will go to a black screen with the white cursor flashing. I think this may have something to do with the resolution.

Thanks to anyone who can help...

Windows XP 64 bit or Windows XP 32 bit? Is Crysis all patched up? When you alt tab and go back in, does the game ever resume, or is it black screen forever?

Windows 32 bit, latest patch (1.21), it does resume sometimes, but the graphics is completely screwed up and crippled.

Your sig says SP2. You still on that? Tried upgrading to SP3? Newest drivers for XP might be having issues with you not being on the latest update.

Try taking a stick of RAM out; XP isn't going to address 4GB anyways and I think that can lead to stability problems.

Yeah I saw, apparently xp 32bit can only see about 4gb max ram, sometimes less. I am sp 2, just checked sp3, but its gonna kill our cap so ill dl it at a later stage...
