Time to crank up the speculation until the announcement. Also, I won't be able to update this until later in the morning cause I have to sleep and stuff.

I searched, but didn't find anything so forgive me if this has already been posted.
Anyways, seems there is a shiny piece of art on blizzard.com right now.
There is a distinct rune on the left side, and there is lots of red beneath the blue. Also some people think there is a face around the rune (eye, nose, mustache, chin). Chances of a new IP are slim to none so what are we looking at, guys?
I sure hope it's Blackthorne!
Edit: looking at the "face" more, it reminds me of master chief, except for that nose. Weird. If this is just a WOTLK thing, then damn you Blizzard for getting me excited for something else!

This is what we know so far:
It has runes! It may have faces, but it could just be that whole "humans recognize faces where they aren't" thing NASA said about Mars or whatever. The runes look like runes used in Diablo, Warcraft, AND Starcraft!
It could be about a Warcraft game! Possibly the new WoW expansion! It has ice!
It could be about Diablo! Holy shit Diablo! With ice!
It could be about the long awaited announcement of Starcraft 2 - could you imagine what would happen if they announced it? Korea would go apeshit. Also ice planets!
I also have it on good authority that there is some racing game Blizzard made long ago that may be resurrected. Ice makes a good racing theme, as Linux users can attest to.
I'm still holding out for Blackthorne. Hell yeah shooting Orcs with shotguns made of ice!
Given the whole runes thing, it could be they are finally merging their primary IPs into a single orgasmic experience. It will probably be called Activision Presents: Blizzard Universe - All of Them at Once. Holy shit I want to buy it right now!
Edit: Also possibly a new Lost Vikings game! They could finally find their way home to their snowy Viking land of ice.

Well we know they have titles about to drop, as well as some new ones in the works. We don't know if they are new IPs or not. We only know that there is a new MMORPG in development, as well as some other, unannounced title that many are speculating to be Diablo 3.

We're all expecting it to be WotlK related, we're just hoping that its something exciting. I.E. Diablo, instead of an expansion for a stagnant mmo.
I don't know if stagnant is quite the term for the slope of her titanic busom, perhaps something to do with inflation. Or a poetic line about the inevitable decline of civilization into butchery and death.

Ice? The expansion is all about things being frozen.
Rune? Death Knight's abilities focus on runes.
Lets face it, there's a very slim chance it is for anything else. My money would be on WotLK.
I like Blizzard and all, but I'm starting to get a little concerned about people speculating over every little thing Blizzard does. Reading between the lines when there's nothing to be read.
I guess we will see.
