Xfire Friend Woes

I work at a farily high-profile company. One of my co-workers recently told this to a friend, but it turns out that he was a huge fan of our products and so were all of his friends. This person also has his Xfire account name and has told everyone he knows about it.

Now, every time that he starts up a game, he gets constant messages and it interrupts his play. He's ignored the friend, but through the friends-of-friends feature all of that person's friends can contact him.

Is there an easy way to prevent this? Turning off friends-of-friends, for example? Or will he simply have to start a new account?

If he's already gone to the trouble of blocking the guy, why not just delete him from XFire? That would solve the friend-of-friend problem.

Yes, you can turn off the friends of a friends feature. The setting is within the actual client. (not the web piece)

Just know that when disabling this, for some reason, it will also disable the ability for people who are on your friends list to follow you into a game by right clicking on your name and clicking "join game".
