Anyone want to play Mornington Crescent?

I've never seen Mornington Crescent played in a forum before, so let's get it on!

Rules:
  • Standard rules - check Ibsen rev. 4
  • No NIB passing
  • Standard flanges
  • Plymouth variation

I'll start, if that's okay with all the other players:

Duke Court

You're a newbie so I guess you didn't know that a D&D house rule is that all players must start at a station with Cock or Wood in the name. So lose two farthings and skip your turn.

So I'll start... the right way.

    Cockfosters

Forum games tend to be pretty heavily regulated here. If you want to sign up for something, you'd probably have to wait behind a long line of Mafiaesques.

Edit: Hmm, other people are playing...eh.

That's an acceptable opening move, too.

    Because, y'know, Tube.

And Cockfoster is a station in London's subway.

I don't know what the fuck Fencing's getting at.

Your local bookshop might have a copy of The Little Book of Mornington Crescent by Tim, Graeme, Barry and Humph.

Mornington Crescent isn't just a game.

Feral, you clearly know your stuff, except for the fact that Duke Court observes Wood on the 25th in honour of Charles II scandalous visit.

EDIT: Cockfosters is an excellent defensive retort in any case, I await the next play.

You can't fucking pull King's Cross when Cockfoster's been played. They run perpendicular to one another.
