2 years a little more in depth

Ok so i did this a little earlier on movies, and it worked good. So i figured I'll go a little more in depth. What have i missed in the last 2 years that you would recomend.

This can be anything, honestly, i havent been able to watch tv, movies, listen to music, read, hear about news, NOTHING that you would consider "normal". Basically imagine someone just woke up from a two year coma and thats kind of where i am at, except i woke up a little bit more mature and speak spanish now...
What would you reccomend to someone who had been in a coma for 2 years (or on a mission in my case).
Anyway GO!

Television wise I'd recommend Avatar: The Last Airbender and Frisky Dingo (Animated), and Battlestar Galactica, Lost, and the first season of Heroes (Sci fi, drama. Heroes takes a nose dive in the second season for a lot of people though.)

    It's all quality.

To the OP. Check out "In rainbows" by Radiohead if that's your thing. Also, get Metal Gear Solid 4. It is the bomb.

Uh, Jessica Alba got pregnant and got married I believe.

Quite. I'm fully aware that it's intended for children. That doesn't mean it doesn't have appeal to and significant following of adults, much like The Incredibles, Ren & Stimpy, etc. It's beautifully animated, has interesting characters that grow and change through the series, and a fair story. What, exactly, would make you not recommend it?

Avatar has been one of the best overall shows on TV regardless of demographic since it began. The fact that they are ending it after this season makes me sadder than y'all can possibly comprehend.

    Action movies: The Bourne Ultimatum

    series wise: Battlestar Galactica, Heroes

Popular music same as always...If we knew what genre you liked we could pick somethin.

Movie wise, I'm trying to remember the last 2 years. Iron Man was good and The Dark Knight is out soon. But those are both recent.

If you like marshal arts movies you should watch Fearless
If you like si-fi/horror: I Am Legend

A bunch of 07 movies I personally watched and would watch again:
    Spider-Man 3
    Transformers
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
    300
    The Simpsons Movie
    Live Free or Die Hard
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
    American Gangster

There was a scare with tomatoes and infectious diseases.

The Fratellis released their second studio LP.

The song 'Apologize' was released, and though many here lament popular music it was likely the most iconic song of the past year.

Chris Brown can still dance really well.

    Steve Irwin died.

We got our first female Speaker of the House (Nancy Pelosi, that filthy street walker. :winky: )

There was a massacre at Virginia Tech. A mentally unstable guy unloaded several clips of ammunition and as a result 32 people lost their lives. :(

Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss, also if you have not started them, read the Dresden Files. They're awsome.

Bioshock, The Orange Box, Mass Effect all for the 360. Get 'em, play 'em, love 'em.

Oh, the I35 Bridge collapsed in Minneapolis.

America started calling the current administration on their bullshit, but haven't found the balls to actually punish them for any of it yet.

In that vein, Democrats won congress by a slim enough majority to take control but make them effectively useless.

Heath Ledger as the Joker, and died earlier this year due to accidental overdose (various medications). A bummer because it looks like his portrayal will be Amazing with a capitol fucking A.

    A second :( on Carlin.

This video should cover most of the internet memes. (just click the link)
