Game start will be 8:00 PM on Friday. Right now I'm planning on doing it at my hotel room, Hilton Bellevue, but if anyone has a suggestion I'm open to it. I come in Thursday night and I'll find a way to distribute that info when I get it. If you've received an invitation please respond confirming you want it, as it's how I count that you accept the character.

A Dead Man's Chest
Two pirate crews descend upon the sleepy Caribbean island of Santo Oloroso -- to avenge the death of their former master Captain Flint, or to find and grab his treasure?
Old enmities will surface, deals will be made and broken, and some folk will swing from the yard-arm while others will be sacrificed for the greater good.
A Dead Man's Chest is unlike many murder mystery games. Although the game starts with a murder, most of the characters have more important things to do than to investigate it. And the killing may not be over - it is unlikely that everyone will survive the remainder of the evening. (This isn't just flavor text either, a rule variation for stylized combat allows for players to attack or be attacked, resulting in a penalty-box "wounding" and eventually death.)
This game is an unstructured freeform event, where your character is given all their information up front. Only by making deals and using your abilities will you be able to achieve your goals. The game lasts for 3 hours and it's good to have a 1/2 hour to an hour for mingling and asking any questions. It requires a minimum of 12 players and allows up to 17.

The other question is where and right now that is undecided. As I've added above, the game requires 12 to 16(+1) people, so someplace comfortable for that size range. I don't know if a hotel room would work for that number or not. Suggestions are welcome.
For the casting... well... I'd be happy with any character that's male, and not Captain Jack, the natives, or Bill Pistol. I'm a bit of a mild person, and I'm sure others here would carry those roles with much better gung-ho abandon than I.

Also, if there are not enough people to run Dead Man's Chest I will be getting another game that requires fewer people to run. The game has the same type of structure but is Egyptian themed.
Yeah, I should say that I've never played these sorts of things and I dunno if the roleplay aspect of it will click with me, but I'm in if it happens at a good time.
Don't worry though, you'll have help. The game is split into factions, which will change as deals are made/broken. Your main priority is to try to accomplish as many of your goals as possible.
As host, I'll answer any questions, let you know what you can do and mediate any unforeseen problems.
-Names of the people you will be bringing and their gender
-The nights you will be free to participate
-Any specific characters you would like to play. I can't gurantee you will get what you want, but I'll do my best.
