well I got the game yesterday day so my town is pretty lame but if anybody wants to come over to my town, or have me come over to your town to get a fruit or 2, (i currently have cherries native in my town), post and we can add each other.

So...does anyone frequently find Piranhas and/or Giant Beetles in their town? If so, can I come over? I'm really starting to get worried here.

Also, I'm still looking to trade for U.K. Nintendo items.

I'll be hosting in a couple minutes, you're friended. I have pears, you can take as many as you can carry.

Also Zython, you're friended also. I've never caught a giant beetle but Piranhas, while rare, are found in my town reasonably often. I've caught maybe six so far. You're welcome to come if you want.

That goes for anyone else too, I think I've got most everybody on my friends list.

And mind the saplings please.

I dunno, I think they may increase your luck if you put it in your house or something. Something to do with all the fengshui bonuses and stuff.

Use the collection guide at www.animalxing.com. I think the Giant Beetles come out quite a bit late at night. I remember staying up late one night, and loading my inventory with Giant, Atlas, Dynastid and Hercules Beetles. I don't remember exactly what time it was, but Nook's was closed, so it was past 11pm.

Also, I was so pissed that I couldn't catch the piranha because the Nintendo Guide had the time completely wrong. Just go to that website and then try for a while. It worked for me.

I usually try to avoid the guides, since they've been wrong in the past, but it seems the site fixed it. Thanks. Once I catch those two, a great weight will be lifted off of me.

I'll be going on vacation tomorrow where I probably won't have access to wifi. Why is this important? Well, Simon, my monkey villager, is moving out tonight, which means there will be a small window of opportunity, between when I wake up and my flight, for some lucky guy to visit my town or be visited by me and hopefully receive Simon as a new villager. I'll try to have my town open from 9am-1pm West coast time, or 12pm-4pm East coast time. Is anyone interested? I think the best results will come from a town which has an empty space for a new neighbor. I'd hate to see a rare villager like this out of circulation.

I'm thinking of picking this game back up when I'm bored at school. I didn't really have an all too impressive town, so I'll probably just make a new one, unless someone has a reason why I should keep my (probably) weed-ridden town.

Bah. One of my villagers was going to leave today, and I talked him out of it. If there's such a thing as karma, I think mine is all coming back to me through this game. Enjoy your vacation, E5.

Throw all your money in the bank, set your DS clock forward 10 years, open the game, collect your 99,999 bells in interest, and do the same thing a few times. You will be rich beyond your wildest dreams*. You'll still have lots of weeds (more, probably) and all of your residents will have left, but that was never a problem because you were going to start over anyway.

*This is technically cheating and may or may not cause the game to be no fun. Not valid in Nebraska.

Ah, I just started a bit ago. I didn't realize they increased over time. I guess that makes sense.

Yeah, you'll see rushes to sell turnips late in the week. You generally don't see prices higher than 200 before Wednesday.

Anyone want to visit my town? I just ordered a bunch of stuff from Tom Nook, and I don't feel like being patient enough to wait for it to arrive on its own.
