A 360 carrying bag/backpack not plastered with logos

Hey guys.

I've seen in some game stores backpacks made specifically to carry a 360... they're shaped a particular manner, have heavy duty straps to compensate folr weight, and have cool pouches/sections for cords and games. However all three I saw at Game Stop had bright, obvious logos saying 'XBOX 360' or something similar in plain sight.

I'm looking for the former features (durable, roomy without being bulky on the outside, etc.) without the latter problem (advertising that I have $500 worth of stuff on my shoulders). Any ideas?

The same bag, and a cheap patch sewn over it.

Really, you'll not get a better bag than something designed for the machine. FWIW though, I cart my 360 around in the cardboard box that I got it returned to me in after repair.

line a messenger bag with bubblewrap. Write "Not an Ex-Bawks" on the outside.

I'm pretty sure a 360 and some games would fit in a regular backpack. They make some with some pretty heavy-duty straps and padding now because kids seem to carry around 50 pounds of books for school.

I'm concerned that the inside of the main compartment will be too roomy and give the console too much 'bounce around' room.

Any experience with a particular model of bag that could provide a snug fit?

Hmm, that could be a problem. I think a messenger or tote-type bag might have better dimensions for a snug fit. Maybe one of those with a pouch on the front and sides for chords and games?

In my opinion, the gamestop 360 backpacks aren't stury eough to stop your console from gettin' nicked. I bought my carrying case at a thrift store and lined it with green padding (cut to fit) that they sell at the bigger craft stores.

Alternatively, if the "XBOX360 IN HERE" patches on said bag are sewn on, you could probably remove them without much/any damage to the bag itself.

I carry my 360 in a cheapy messenger bag. Nothing fancy at all, except the backing has some hard plastic lining it.
I just take out the disc and wrap the 360 in a couple old towels. Fits tight, and won't go anywhere.
No idea if it'll stop a fall, but would the other backpack?

Yeah, that's the non-tool way to carry a gaming system. I've been using a roomy messenger bag with straps to carry my XBox 360 for years.

This may be a silly question, but why are you carrying your XBox 360?

    Friends who don't own 360s.
LAN fests (without the awesomeness that are PC's)
Better than split screen if you have a buddy with 2 nice tvs.
Letting a relative/friend borrow your console.
Your parents are divorced because they hate you.
A tornado is coming towards your house.
Your HDD contains top secret information, if the red army gets ahold of it, it's game over free world.
    Etc.

You should just buy a laptop case or a desktop case. They make much better bags for carrying around computers then 360s so go for one of those.

Pretty much any backpack works, just stuff it extra stuff (cloths etc) to 'cushion' it if needs be. When I go home on the weekends, I take my smallpack with me, stick my 360 along with my cd binder, bunch of cloths and some other odds and ends in there and it works just fine.

Thanks guys. I'll just find some old towels/clothes I don't wear and keep them stuffed in a normal backpack for cushioning.

    I appreciate the suggestions.

You can get some foam, cut it to fit snugly in the backpack compartment, and cut out holes for the 360/controllers.

you know its not much thicker then a laptop, you should check out some laptop backpacks since they have the Velcro strap to keep it n place and the padding to keep it from moving around much.
