So I'm looking to build up my first computer. I'm mostly going to use it for some gaming (Bioshock, Mass Effect, Lost Planet, Spore, some others, I'm sure), the standard internet usage, and to hook it up to my TV for movies/shows. I'm not that well versed in hardware, though, so I'd like for some of the more knowledgeable people here to take a look.

Basically, what I'm not sure of is the motherboard and the graphics card. Now, I'm not looking for the best of the best in terms of graphics, but I'd like for them to look nice, and my budget is about $2000 (if someone has some suggestions that will bring me in substantially less than that, though, great. I'd also love to get a new bike
). From all the reviews I read, the components seem to be pretty good. I'd like to try some overclocking, too, hence the extra CPU fan.
OS: From what I understand, I'm going to need a 64bit operating system to utilize the 4GB of RAM. Should I go with Vista 64, or stick with XP 64? I know all the Vista hate going on right now, but I've never used it myself, so I'm not sure how much of it is really valid. Is DX10 really worth it?
Some other notes: The printer on there might get thrown out, I'm not sure if it's really worth the cost, or if I could do my limited printing/scanning at a library, but, let's leave it on there for now, or change it if anyone has any better suggestions. Same with the speakers.
Thanks a lot.

If you must go with an 8800GTS, get the 512mb, but pretty much the card to get right now is the 4870 if you can swing the extra hundred, or go with the 9800 GTX
But don't go with the 8800GTS 640.
Also, Vista is plagued by a bad rep because it used to be bad.
Most things about it are fixed now. I've had no problems with it and it definitely is an improvement over XP. Go with Vista.
