So earlier this evening my computer was working fine. Then I went away for a sec and came back to find my keyboard has been glitched to hell and back.
Basically, some of my keys refuse to respond, because their functions have been inexplicably mapped to other keys. In addition, these new keys also retain either original letters. For example, my 'e' key does not work, the letter has somehow been mapped to the letter 'T', so whenever I hit the 'T' key both 'T' and 'E' show up at the same time like this: ET.
Below is an example of a sentence I did not edit at all before posting, as well as still hitting all the keys that no longer work:
ETh uick brown fo upd ovr eth lazy dog.
Keys that do not work:
E: Mapped to T
J: Mapped to /
X: Mapped to ]
M: Mapped to ,
1: Mapped to `
5: Mapped to S
Enter: Mapped to =
Left on the d-pad: Dunno where it went
So, anyone have any idea what is going on? Any help would be much appreciated.
Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but that looks like a way to switch TO DVORAK keyboards. I want to switch to WERTY. (I'm, missing the 'kyuu' key too for whatever reason.
The closest thing to WERTY I can find is 'US International', which doesn't help me any.
Also I don't think this is really an issue of my keyboard settings, since while messing around with the keyboard settins I switched to what I believe was DVORAK, and the probletms continued, just with a diffetrent set of letters and numbers.
Hmm. Judging by the new description, it doesn't seem as if you've been Dvorak'd after all - although it's still an awesome prank.
Your keyboard may just be on the fritz, or the cable has come loose. Check your repair manual for your notebook to see if there's an easy way to detach/reattach it.

Looking for a DX:HR OnLive code for my kid brother.
Can trade TF2 items or whatever else you're interested in. PM me.
Can you boot into command prompt? (hit F8 on boot)
Does your keyboard malfunction there, also? (Or does command prompt pick up on Windows localization settings? I can't remember. Booting from a stray Linux livedisk also works to test it.)

YES. That's likely it. Can't believe I didn't think of that. Your keyboard was likely changed from qwerty to dvorak.

Probably just follow those instructions but instead of selecting "Dvorak" select "Qwerty"?

What does it say under the Default Input Language?
