Tools drop down menu not working, Firefox qs

The click and drop down Tools menu is not working for me. I am using FF3. It worked fine since I upgraded a week ago or whenever. Clicking on it seems to refresh the page and nothing else. Is this happening to anyone else?
No. I have scripts allowed.
Also, clicking thread tools and forum tools does nothing.
I did run window washer earlier today to try and make my computer run a little faster. Could that be responsible somehow?

I had this in the bug reports/user issues forum and noone could help. I'm thinking about uninstalling Firefox, but I don't want to lose my bookmarks and extensions. After the uninstall and back-up, I'll reinstall and try again. I have my bookmarks backed-up, but is there a way to back up my settings and extensions?

Have you tried running FF in safe mode? It could just be an extension causing the problem, as some extensions add custom menu items to the Tools menu (like greasemonkey). Try starting in safe mode, removing extensions and restarting FF, until the problem goes away.

In any rate - Here's the page which shows where the Firefox profile is stored and how to backup/restore it.

I don't believe it - I'm on my THIRD PS3, and my FIRST XBOX360. What the heck?
