There was a thread on Hack Wars awhile back, it's basically an MMO hacking game (but with lot more real-time stuff then the PHP games like Slavehack).
Any ways, they've recently added an insanely cool feature, an in-game game creation engine (sort of like a limited version of RPG-Maker, or Game Maker, although they're gradually working on the limited part). Players use the in-game scripting language to create their own arcade-games, which they can then sell in the in-game store, or eventually publish outside of game -- to my knowledge this is the first MMO to have indy-game making as a potential play mechanic.
In honor of Hacktendo's release Hack Wars is running a summer-long game design contest, where the maker of the best game in Hacktendo will be rewarded a cool $50.
