Need a Ride Near I-205
whypick1PAX [E] Info Booth Manager~2' from an LCDRegistered Userregular
If you happen to be driving up I-205 on the way up to PAX, I will most likely require a ride (my current plan might not pan out). I live in Vancouver, WA, 5 minutes from 205. Will need space for one large piece of luggage, which will be carrying my computer. In exchange, I offer legal tender, valid in all 50 states and unofficially accepted in many countries world wide. Reply here if you can provide.
Here's your hookup:
Catch C-TRAN bus 165 Parkrose Express at the Fishers Landing transit center and ride it all the way to where it terminates, right at the Parkrose/Sumner Transit Station, which is this year's Portland Supertrip Waypoint.
Schedule of the bus you want to take. Catch the 1:00 departure bus so you can get there at 1:15. We'll arrive then and leave around 1:45. Note that this is an express bus, and runs from one transit station to the other with no stops in between. Also, bring bus fare.
I'll give you a ride, but be timely, as we're not going to wait up if you're not there.

Unfortunately, I'm taking off Friday and most likely Monday for PAX, I can't take off Thursday as well. If I could, I would, especially since I'm about two blocks from Fisher's Landing TC.
So you're missing a day? It's gonna be hard to do that and still hitch a ride, as most everyone who's not from Bellevue is doing all three and will be coming through some time thursday.
Call in sick?

I might be able to give you a ride, but I'm leaving pretty late on Friday.. at like 11:30 AM. I live in Vancouver, WA too so connecting shouldn't be a problem. I also am going to be driving back Sunday night after the expo is done.
If you're fine with all these constraints, aren't a rapist or murderer, and are willing to pitch in for gas, then you're free to come along.

Acid, I'll let you know within a day or two whether I'll need it.
Ctish, I can't take off too much time from work, as A. I don't have sick or vacation days (interns don't get such perks) and B. I've got a fairly big project I'm working on that will probably require me to work on it every day that I have left here. I figured someone would be riding up in the wee hours of the morning Friday to make it there by the time the lines are a mile or two long.
sounds good hombre, just reminding you that it is going to have to be on the schedule that I explained in my previous post. don't want to get your hopes up or anything, but I gotta stick to it 100%.
Fire off a PM with your info if you decide to come along so I can call you and get directions to your place or whereever the hell you want me to pick you up at.
Since this is all on my plans it doesn't really matter if you come or not, so don't feel like you have to commit to anything. Just make sure you give me a final answer via cell phone before I leave Friday morning. Hope this helps you.
WhyPick, my wife and I should be able to give you a ride if nothing else pans out. We're leaving early Friday (around 7 probably) so we'd be around Vancouver about 8. And we won't be leaving until PAX closes up shop on Sunday.
