I'm not good at organizing things like this, but I'mma do what I can.
Calling all PAX Hometowners: Let's get some food!
In an effort to network, and find other people to talk IRL about our game obsessions with, I propose a group meeting. Somewhere central like Westlake Center Food Court (it's big and has movable tables), where we can all get together and hang out, meet, and stuff like that.
If you think this is a groovy idea, post on this thread with what days/times would work for you. It can be on a lunch break, or a day off, OR EVEN EVENINGS! We also don't have to all meet at the same time. We could start it at like 11am or something, and as people are available, they join us, or as they have to leave they do so. This also could be a repeated event!!!
If you think this is great (or stupid) and want to join (or curse me), post here!!! I'll give it a couple days and then schedule the first (and hopefully not last) meeting date!
EDIT: If you are part of the Mystery Tour, let me know when you are getting in town. I'm trying to set up something for the week OF PAX also for those out of towners who will be visiting our fair Citadel.
((NOTE: Sadly, there is a chance that not all schedules will be able to be accommodated, but that's why we can have lots of these. Feel free to suggest locations also!))

I get an hour lunch from work, and can easily get to anything in lower Queen Anne (Dicks, Kidd Valley, Pags, etc), or the north end of Belltown (Sushi Kyo, that place that opened up where Minnie's used to be). I live down in Renton, but taking a work-lunch to grab some chow with you all would be fun.
Personally, I think someplace like Pags or Dicks would work best if we're going to have a decent group; if it only ends up being 4 or so, pretty much anywhere works, as long as I can get there, eat, and back in around an hour.
As an alternate idea, we can always meet up at a certain time during PAX to go hit the food court at Westlake or something.
This would rock also, but I don't want to close it to non seattleites if its DURING PAX. I was thinking as a meet and greet for the local crowd.

Something that is easy to get to via bus. I'm coming from South King County and I hate driving in Seattle
I work in redmond and theres no way I can get to and from seattle during a lunch :P
I'm vaguely in the same boat as BigRed. I live in Redmond, and work in Kirkland. Also, no car, so I'd have to bus. Weekends would be ideal!
If you all decide to do a weekend, I probably won't make it (it's cool, I'll catch you all at PAX anyway.) Weekends are family time, usually, where I hang with the wife and kids.
It's sounding like Weekends are the only option for some people, though. If that's the way you go, I'll see about getting in for it, no promises. ;-)
