Anyone know of a good twitter account to follow for E3? I've followed Major Nelson for a long time, but I want one that just live-tweets the keynotes and stuff.

So, I've never really looked into this before, but are the presentations or whatever available somewhere online on a video stream? Or how does all this work exactly, is it only on G4? Might take a look at some stuff if it's online somewhere, as I don't really have access to G4.

Most of the major vidjagame sites will have live blogging and streams. 1up, Gamespot, IGN, et all.

Basically you open one or a bunch and keep the best one.

    Oh ok, cool. Thanks.

Honestly the main thing I'm hoping to hear out of E3 is an announcement for Suikoden 6. Like, mentioning that it will actually exist for starters.

Wasn't Suikoden VI in last week's Famitsu?

I've got absolutely no idea what to expect this year. Last year, everyone made their big announcements elsewhere. I guess there was the cultural juggernaut that is Wii Fit? This year, most of the big games have either already come out, or have been in media blackout for a long time. It seems like a good time for some announcements, and there's certainly plenty of rumors.

If work tomorrow was corporeal such that I could stab it, I do believe I would.

    For those Aussies who wish to wake up bleary eyed and half conscious, the press conferences are at;

    Microsoft: 6:00 AM Tuesday morning.
    Nintendo: 5:00 AM Wednesday morning.
    Sony: 7:30 AM Wednesday morning.

I'm on holidays, so I might set the alarm early. The Nintendo thread is always fun.

Thank you, family, for using up so much bandwidth that we're capped the day E3 starts -- really, I love you all. If you wake up in a dark, cold room, don't freak out.

    sigh

http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converted.html?day=14&month=7&year=2008&hour=10&min=30&sec=0&p1=1160&p2=47 -- I think that's correct, so, 1:30AM for any other people in Brisbane who want to watch the MS press conference. Edit: Kelor, 6AM? Hopefully I'm the one who's wrong 'cause if it is 6AM than I'll be able to actually watch a video stream! Same for the other 2 keynotes, woo!

MS - for the actul announcements.
Sony - for the pathetic demos (Massive damage, ducks, etc) and stupid executives.
Nintendo - for figuring out what the next thing I won't buy is going to be (Last year it was Wii Fit).

Does anyone know of any sites (Kotaku, Engadget, etc) who will be live-blogging? As I most likely won't be able to actually watch a video stream on 64K.

With Suikoden VI, I think someone in a NeoGAF thread said it was shown along with Chrono Trigger somewhere which started the rumors off. Kotaku grabbed it and it spread around everywhere.

Officially nothing has been announced at this point as far that I've read.

Edit: Kotaku had at the top of one of their articles that they were all flying out to LA, so I went with that. Seems right, since when you fly from Sydney to LA you arrive a couple of hours off from when you left Sydney Airport.

I did -5 based off of ET in the OP and on the Wikipedia page it says E3 was held in Santa Monica, California last year but that might be the same time zone as LA? Edit: Okay, so Santa Monica is like right by LA it seems? You're probably right than about the time for the keynotes, thanks!

    Someone help us out? D:

Also, everyone should hop on IRC too! IRC discussions during E3 keynotes are fun as hell.

G4 is covering it. Shady had the link last page, they're going to have streaming coverage of most of the major ones.

That'd be at 11 in the morning for the East Coasters.

Last year was kind of uneventful since Halo 3 / GTA was so dominant.

since those two are out of the way, they're going to talk about something not-Halo this time.

Eurogamer usually do the best live text feeds.

Edit: And I fully expect this E3 to be massive. All 3 consoles are out there and 'settled', now is around about the time the serious software kicks in.

It should be noted that Activision's press conference won't be streamed live since they aren't "attending" E3 as they are no longer part of the ESA.

Especially with Iwata wanting to hold off giving details on games until they are close to completion. E3, TGS and to a lesser degree GDC will probably when we see most of the titles for their respective four months of the year.

It wouldn't be E3 without the revealing of the titles that will be wallet raping us later on in the year.

Yeah, I used Gamespot last year along with 1up and both were pretty good.

There's something I don't remember about last year. Was Wii Fit announced at E3 or was it just shown there?

Okay, because I guess the OP is kind of ambiguous, here is what "spoiler-free" means in this context.

Fyre is keeping the OP links to the streams and stuff clean, so you can watch them if you want to without having them spoiled. I don't know what kind of person gets angry about having a keynote "spoiled" for them but whatever floats your boat.

You can post anything in this thread about the keynotes or other E3 news/announcements.

You do not have to use spoiler tags

As mentioned earlier, don't make joke announcements because it's fucking stupid

    or RIIIIIIIIDGE RACER!

True. I remember a couple of years ago when the forums were going through hell right as E3 hit. It was maddening but also entertaining. You'd be locked out for a few seconds, and come back to 5 pages of "REGGIE'S TALIKING! REGGIES' TLAKLKAING!!!!"

Suikoden IV was not that great, but V was a return to form. I'd put it behind the second.
