I remember mention of the possibility of a Cthulu or Paranoia LARP. Any more information available at this time?

I made a post on the Internet!

They cast a shadow like a sundial in the morning light. It was half past 10.

    LARP. lolzies

I don't know what it means, but it's fun to say. I'll be the guy randomly screaming 'LARP' around PAX. If you ask, I couldn't tell you, because I have no idea.

You guys should totally arrange a Pac Man LARP if there's still time.

    Live Action Roleplaying.

What you are imagining is pretty much right on target.

    Ouch.

    OSTRACIZED!!!

Given the fact that I was asking about Paranoia, I assumed it was to be tounge-in-cheek, and thereby self-consciously hilarious (rather than the cluelessly hilarious that might be expected of a typical LARP).

    Oh. My. God.

I've made fun of those people since junior high school. And suddenly Trillian's image doesn't seem so random.

That went over my head. Who are you referring to?

As much as I have a deep seated aversion to LARP (my presence in the murder mystery notwithstanding), I have to say I'd probably play a Paranoia LARP. That's just on the strength of my love for Paranoia, of course, not my love for wearing medieval drag and running around the woods with a foam sword.

Everyone used to larp when they were kids... only we called it 'pretending'.

Who needs an imagination when we have software to do the pretending for us?

    Good times indeed.

Seriously guys, at a certain point in a person's psychological development, pretending becomes a sign of fuckedupidness. We stop pretending are start realizing.

    Just sayin'.

You are still young and have not yet developed your second imagination. It will come... it will come...

As much as I have derided LARPers in the past

Let me just say right here

That Call of Cthulhu is a pretty good game to play if you were gonna LARP

Check the ITT Lesbians thread in the SE++ chatlog, from about page 32 onwards. It'll all make sense in the end.
