Only way I can figure is to use Return right when you pick the sucker up and drop it right after you warp in. Pretty much every safe I've run into has been 300, so outside of insane Weight Lifting or cheating there's pretty much nothing you can do.

That said, I wonder how much of a pain it'd be to mod this sucker up. Some of it's brilliant, but some of it's downright maddening and unchecked.

I really, really want to know what that patch note about "fires breaking out on the world map" was about.

It'd be super awesome if it happened at some point in late game where all the towns where already turned into alien hives, and it seemed like the end of days.

Yeah, all the safes I've found have been 300 weight as well.
How much weight can you bear before it literally kills you? With the weight of 300 + my equipment and the other stuff I'm already carrying, I can't move, but I won't get hurt.

When I get to the "Overweight!" status I can still move and my HP starts to take hits like every five steps or so. Given long enough I'd die under the own weight of my useless loot.

If you have enough hp regen you can actually shoulder that damage without incident, but don't try going up or down any stairs.

So, I had to make a delivery to a guard in Lumiest. No biggie, right? Well, turns out the guard I had to deliver my doohickey to spawned on a small 3x2 patch of land adjoining the Elder's house, but surrounded on all other sides by water. What did I do? I dug through the fucking wall, that's what.

Also, which type of vendor can sell cloth armor? I need some for my Wizard now that I've eaten my meat robe.

Do dungeons reset or something? I just noticed while putzing along the road that some of the places I swear I've cleared out no longer have the crown above them.

The puppy dungeon's randomly generated. Some other ones might be, too. And it seems completely new dungeons can just crop up from time to time.

What classes/race are you guys having most success with? Right now I'm doing a Norland (extra race) War Mage and the magic definitely helps against the stronger mobs at the start.

PS. Shena has a fine ass.

The only class i've had success with is warrior, playing as a mage I do awesome until my spells hit overcast, which is usually halfway through the first floor of a dungeon,t hen i'm fucked, playing as an archer I just do so little damage i'm fucked period. As a warrior the only things that rape me are ranged guys, which, while still not ideal is better than being raped by everything

Do stats atrophy? My Archers strength and con are dropping at an alarming rate, without anything having happened to him. (no poison, etherstorms, etc) and i'm wondering if its just from lack of use ?

I think I somehow I messed up my first character.

Was a something Claymore and was doing fine until I got caught in a Etherstorm or whatever they are called. Suddenly, I have a carapace, feathers, poison dripping off my hands and the urge to kill everything. I also am cursed all over so I teleport around like a madman.

It is awesome and horrible at the same time.

Downloaded this, made a character, did the tutorial, and completely underestimated how serious the danger of being overburdened is. I picked up some of the garbage in my shack, stepped onto the world map for the first time, went 4 spaces... and was promptly crushed to death by my backpack.

After I respawn, I make sure to not be at all burdened and go back to the world map. I make it to within 3-4 spaces of the first town before I get ambushed. Unfortunately, I left my copper dagger back at the shack and was promptly murdered by the stupid performers.

Now I'm getting the hang of things, but somehow my bear just disappeared on me. I was ambushed, there was some fighting, we won... and now I'm in town and I have no bear. Any way to get it back?

This is the awesome thing about being a Claymore. You can load yourself up to crushing weight and run laps around with your healing factor topping you up every time you take damage thus giving you xp and free training in healing and various other skills. JUST LIKE DRAGON BALL Z!

Or is it just super-buffed for the Claymore at the start?

Anyone with the healing skill high enough can survive overweight. Just helps that a Claymore starts with like 10 base healing.

I think it's only rotten and/or cursed that actively hurts them. Cooking should just improve the natural benefits of food.

Restoration should work if the numbers are decreasing and red. If they're not red...I'm not sure what's happening.

I don't think it says anywhere that this is the case.

Once you're level 6, you're supposed to gain ten karma for being killed under a certain threshold. Balanced out by the chance to lose stats, skills, and money.

It's a complete pain to either reuild the karma or make it to level six if you're really weak. You're pretty much relegated to 'I want [shit]" quests in Delphy or escort missions from there. Maybe some stealth deliveries, but probably not.
