Getting cash at short notice

So a few bills, some urgent some not so urgent, are getting overdue this month and I'm low on cash. What is a good way to pay these without getting horribly fucked in the ass?

Although I did not check, I'm guessing loans will be difficult being unemployed and all. I'm considering pawning games and various stuff I don't have a need for, but that would be a last resort. Unless someone would actually pay a fortune for used electronics, software and toys from 5 years ago and beyond.

The solution probably involves ass fucking either way, but hey, no harm in asking you fine folks at H&A!

Sell shit on eBay. Look at everything you have and figure out what you're most willing to let go of, and then look it up and see what it's selling for.

Then go out and buy like 200 lotto tickets.

(That last part was a joke.)

There's the whole ask friends/family thing, but I'm guessing you already went that route or aren't able to. I'll take it you're actively trying to get a job, no matter the pay, so there's that. I would suggest plasma and blood donation, but I think you only get paid after your third visit or something like that. Doesn't hurt to check though.

As a final thing..you could take a loan from one of those cash loan places. No one is going to recommend that avenue though, because they're loan sharks more than anythign else, and you will get fucked. But soemtimes sadly that's the best option. Was for me some time ago.

I'd say Craigslist over Ebay. Face-to-face dealings reduce the chance of scams, and instant cash is a plus. In the last week I've sold a couch, futon, and dining room table for a total of $470
